Slim Chickens is Coming to Kuwait

Alghanim Industries will be bringing the American franchise Slim Chickens to the region next year and they will be opening their first location in the same complex where they’re opening Wendy’s on Plajat Street. [Source]

I hadn’t heard of Slim Chickens until a few moments ago but the reason I find this partnership interesting is because back in August I posted about a rumor that Al-Sayer was bringing Chick-fil-A to the region. I mentioned then that burgers and chicken seem to go side by side when it came to franchise ownership, and Alghanim bringing Slim Chickens gives that theory more merit. Americana have Hardees and KFC, Alshaya have Shake Shack and Cane’s Chicken, Alghanim Industries will have Wendy’s and Slim Chickens and hopefully Al Sayer will end up with Five Guys and Chick-fil-A. Yum.

I’ve always thought that this would never happen. From what I’ve read I figured Chick-fil-A is owned by hardcore christians? I mean for frick sake the restaurant closes on Sundays! Don’t get me wrong; it tastes freaking delicious. However, I did not think that they would give a franchise to an Arab, let alone a Muslim. Would not this hurt their brand name? However, thinking about it people don’t care. Especially after Chick-fil-A announcing that they are against gay marriage. Philip Defranco talked about it a while ago.

idk why ppl make such a huge fuss about chick fil a, it tastes kinda like well cooked naif chicken burgers lol but their fries looks cool i guess bc it’s like a net shape lol. KFC (when cooked properly) tastes about 10000x better. the zinger alone beats anything from chick fila.

Those are waffle fires, but if net fries works for you; huzzah. Chic-fil-a puts Colonel Sanders to shame in so many ways.

Lucky, it’s yet another of our great American exports… Franchised fried garbage food. Kuwait has more than enough of that already IMHO.

This started in my state. There is a slim chicken by my house. I love it. They only serve chicken strips with dipping sauce
