Starting today, City Center is now carrying Waitrose products inside their stores. At this moment the Waitrose products are only available at their Salmiya location, but they will soon be adding them in their Dasma and Shuwaikh stores soon.
Currently, only around 30-40% of their total shipment has arrived, with the rest of the Waitrose products expected to be in store in around a months time.
This isn’t the first time Waitrose products have been made available in Kuwait, around 5 years ago Sultan Center started carrying Waitrose products as well. The biggest difference this time around is that City Center have segregated the Waitrose products into their own section which makes it easier to find stuff.

I love Waitrose, I have their app, they give me free coffee when I go to the store and are extremely friendly. 3 issues I have are that they mainly import Waitrose essentials (which is the cheapest they have), mainly canned goods which don’t show quality and £1=1kd which I’m unwilling to pay. We need John Lewis in Kuwait, it would give everyone competition.
I went through the prices, most things have a 100% mark up and some are really old products.
Sounds like the Sultan Center; once I see “Imported for You!” on an item, I run a mile LOL
What’s special about Waitrose products?
this might give you an idea

Brilliant and spot on!
Sometimes you might just want something specific that they do really well like scones or you might want to use there deli counter which does do some spectacular fancy shiz. Not sure if that’s available in Kuwait yet.
But if you’re cooking a meal from scratch using a lot of ingredients by the time you have put them all together you wouldn’t notice the difference if you bought the ingredients from any other supermarket.
This is EXACTLY what i thought should be done for all the Waitrose and Tesco imported products to supermarkets in not just Kuwait, but Saudi Arabia too.
It’s great for both the brands, and the supermarkets as well.
Did they have any drinks? What kind of drinks did they had? And speaking of supermarkets, when is Spinney’s coming to Kuwait?
If you guys know another brand that makes sweet potato fries please let me know. My silly a** had to buy half a kilo waitrose sweet potato fries for the price of a kilo of sweet potatoes because I’m too lazy to cut them my self and stick them in the air fryer.
