Watersouq – Online Bottled Water Delivery Service

Watersouq is a website that focuses on just one thing, bottled water, and I like that. It’s very specific but because they’re very focused they do it pretty well. I think they have nearly every water brand that’s available in Kuwait on their website so even if you’re looking for an obscure brand, you’ll probably find it listed there. They also seem to have a bunch of deals going on like buy 10 boxes get 2 free or buy 20 get 6 free which is great if you’re buying in bulk for your office or large home.

It actually makes sense to buy in large quantities because Watersouq charge KD1 for delivery and an additional 400fils service charge. If this seems like something you’re interested in, here a linke to their [Website]

I think that would be a great idea for the water companies (picking up empties when delivering new) – especially now that we have the recycling plant.

I used to order from Abraj too, till I saw physical proof that tap water is safer than Abraj or even any other popular brands. Sticking to Coolpex, infact any rudimentary filter is good enough, your water is safe!

15 years in Kuwait, and only use the basic water filter (not even Coolplex system) for water to drink, cook, ice, etc. I get enough plastic bottles when out and about and want/need to buy water – I am not using plastic at home.

speaking if that, is there a way I can test the water in our house to see if it’s healthy to drink? I know it should be, and the ministry is doing a good job providing clean water, but I’m suspecting something is wrong with the piping in the house we live in.

I am not sure – I think if you search Mark’s blog here, he visited the water treatment place (don’t know the name), but if I recall, he said that you can request a water test from them. I will try to search and find….

While yes, it’s a scam for those doing the water “test” and sell filters, i’ve seen the micro test results (at least where I worked before) and the tap water is really safe.

Conducted on tap and from “filtered” (using ceramic cannisters) sources.

Tap water delivered by government to your building is 100% safe and much better than bottled water in many cases…

Problem is tank/reservoir on our building roofs where building owners keep water before delivered to your apartment. They did tests in Dubai about this issue and results was disgusting :/ They find dead birds, lizards and everything else that moves in that tanks. I bet situation in Kuwait isn’t better if not worse.

So, yeah! Tap water in Kuwait isn’t safe even if it’s filtered with regular consumer grade filters.

In order to reduce plastic waste and save the environment from transporting water from all corners of the world, what’s wrong with local water delivery in 5 or 3 gallon recyclable bottles from suppliers such as Abraj and Rawdatain? All others are pure snobbery!

I have used them a couple of times.
Pros:
1. Knet and visa payments possible (i hate cash)
2. When compared to taw9eel and your local jam3iya its much cheaper

Cons:
1. After adding an item to your cart, you get a pop up that says do you want to keep shopping or go to checkout. When clicking keep shopping if forces the whole site to reload (annoying and nothing else)
2. If you order water from different companies they charge you an additional 1 KD shipping. (Ex: i order water from Arwa and ABC therefore i am charged 2 KD and not 1)

But overall highly recommend.

why are we getting so much more fitter just to become more lazier and having everything delivered. good if your bulk buying.

This site is bullshit. I ordered online and 15 days passed, no delivery. I tried calling them however NO ONE ANSWERED. Please stay away!!

They messaged me on whatsapp and the guy kept saying we will deliver next week. Worst customer service.

I’ve been calling Abraq Water directly at 1844 666 for next day delivery.

I ordered water on May 31st and since than I have been receiving messages from 9474 0403 that it will be delivered next week. After four weeks no delivery and no money.

How can we report them?

The water souq took my money via KNET and never delivered the order after three months. They keep promising to return the money but nothing happens.
How could I report such unethical behavior and warn other potential customers?
