Vista to XP

A guy “upgraded” his computer from Windows Vista to Windows XP and then wrote a review. I found it pretty funny. [Link]

it’s always like that

windows 98 to xp was a nightmare for people but then, they precise windows xp and make it like the best OS on the earth.

for xp to vista give it a few months and you will see how people stupidly repeat the history.

Sadly after 6 months of using Vista I’m seriously considering going back to XP, the only thing that is holding me back from doing that right now is losing my installed programs and games :<

have to agree, vista is shit, I would definitely go back. Mzmaar actually as i remembered it, people coupdnt wait to upgrade to xp. 98 was awful, xp was by far the cleanest and most robust os ever devised. (apple’s kiddie os dont count).

Same old whine since the dawn of the internet.I switch between my Mac ( Leopard) and PC ( Vista ), I like Leopard s seamless performance but I like Vista more for its seamless performance and of course its flexibility. I installed Vista last Jan and I’m yet to come across a freeze, crash,BSOD or watever. If there is anything I hate about the PC, I hate its the incompetent users.

LOL, that actually is an upgrade. Just customize any laptop, you have to pay more to get XP Pro over Vista Home Premium 🙂

And SP1 for Vista is out Cajie 🙂

SP1 RC 1 has been released, its still in testing mode and its not recommended for everyone.I have installed it and so far so good!

I had VISTA BUSINESS and hated it, too many enquiries, too sluggish, too bugged – windows update wouldnt update etc – removed it to XP PRO 64 and now it runs like gangbusters, simply beautiful.

XP had two things to offer over 98, performance and stability. Now the problem is that XP is fast enough and stable enough that there is no need for Vista. They might say its more secure but XP SP2 with an internet security package is fully secure too. We have to install third-party security software on Vista anyway so whats the point of upgrading.

And also, XP SP3 tweaks XP performance better than Vista SP1 does for Vista according to reviews. Unless they intentionally cripple SP3 after these reviews to give Vista an edge, XP SP3 would be the best Windows edition out yet.
