According to @7eyad there was another stabbing last night at The Avenues. The stabbing occurred opposite West Elm and Life with Cacao and resulted with one person getting stabbed in the shoulders and rushed to the hospital. The reason I have a question mark in the title is because according to mall security this morning, someone tripped down the stairs and hurt themselves.

Why can’t they make security checks at the mall entrance. In Egypt you can’t even get a knife inside the mall or any kind of weapon. How hard is it to implement. It is really needed now.
What’s the point? You can just buy a knife from anywhere inside the mall.
Don’t even need to buy one, you have a restaurant at every intersection.

I was just in Egypt and I can unfortunately confirm that most of the people live on bribe.. I’m sure with 100 Egyptian pounds you could get bazooka inside the mall!

ok honestly what i think should be done, is that on thursdays and fridays the mall should only be available to families, this is what they do where i live, security should use force if they have to and when it comes to local police, police officers shouldnt wait for the fight to be done, a use of power should interrupt the fight, force arrest, back in the states this what they used to do to anyone who got into a bar fight, i know that police officers must be afraid for their lives, but training methods will do it
So even though I haven’t stabbed anyone (yet) I shouldn’t be allowed into Avenues? Living in Kuwait I would imagine you know by now that bans don’t solve problems.
no restriction should be done by age and the amount of people entering the mall, comeon most people enter the mall just to chill, which isnt the main idea of the mall
the main idea of the mall is to have a place to chill hence why there are different activities other than shops.

Want to bring security to the Avenues? Stop sluts and prostitutes from coming into the mall. Seriously it has gone far beyond every lines we have in Kuwait. Heck they wouldn’t care whether ur with ur wife, baby, or both… They’d still give it a shot! It’s not an issue of one or two “freelancers”. Its getting to be,more,like organized business with dozens of girls involved.
This is the first i hear of an underground prostitution ring working out of the avenues. Care to shed more light on this?

It kind of looks like blood on those white tissues/towels on the stairs? I will have to borrow some gear from the military when I go to Avenues from now on. WHat’s the point in having those muscle head security guys walking around if they can’t stop the violence? They are just there to get dates?

thats the whole point… coming to kuwait is a previlidged curse in itself…. you can enter at your will but you will leave only if you are deported…. and trust me all you life after being deported you will crave and want to come back to kuwait again……

Well, I did hear that they based the design on a British high street feel. So with the stabbings, it’s fairly accurate; just needs random gangs of Nigerian immigrants to make it feel like home!
