I passed by Bang & Olufsen at Symphony Mall tonight and on my way out I noticed a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company hoarding. The American seafood chain is inspired from the movie Forrest Gump and looks like the Symphony Mall location is going to be quite big. No clue on when exactly they’ll be opening.

That’s so awesome! I don’t know if you have ever tried it Mark, but it’s actually pretty good! Too bad there is no alcohol here because they serve the Coronarita there!!!!

Allah ydeem al n3ma! Tried it about two months ago. NEVER AGAIN. I never ever got that sick in my life. I was practically a zombie from how sick I was!
Since then, I never ate shrimps again, nor do I think that I will eat shrimps again.
Another restaurant???? Isn’t their like 1 restaurant for every 5 people in Kuwait? Obesity shmobesity….. we’ve got free surgery, keep on eating! I want Chik-fil-A but since they are a Christian chain I guess they will never come here, mm In-n-out burger, Tommy’s or maybe some Mexican chains like El Torito or Baja Fresh? There is so much retail space to fill so expect more and more restaurants!

Glad it is finally in the middle east! Only a matter of time before it comes to Dubai. Do we know who is bringing it? Wouldn’t suprise me if it is Al Shaya.
Similar to SHRIMPY, dont expect wonders, wont be surprised if shutters close in 3 years time
Just curious – which BG’s branch did you visit because I think Shrimpy and BGs is not similar at all. I can’t even eat the food at Shrimpy.

There are so many lesser known seafood restaurants around the country. I seem to find them more around Salmiya and Bidea area. If you come across one of those, its small, and around for years then whatever they serve must taste decent.

wow…that post’s been there since april… i went there today they still havent opened yet!
Sooo excited… please keep us posted as to when it’s going to open.. saw it last nite when we passed by Missoni.. looks like it’s still under construction but will be opening soooooon.. btw, no comparison between Shrimpy’s and BG, way way toooooo far with regards to ‘everything’ hehehe just my 2 cents 🙂
