Chick-fil-A is Coming to Kuwait!

Back in 2012 I posted that Alshaya wanted to bring the super popular American franchise Chick-fil-A to Kuwait. I wrote about how talks had failed since Chick-fil-A wanted Alshaya to close on Sundays (they’re a very Christian company) and Alshaya didn’t want to. Instead, Alshaya was trying to convince them to change that rule for the region but Chick-fil-A wasn’t backing down and the deal fell apart.

Then, a couple of years ago I posted that Al Sayer was in talks with Chick-fil-A. Al Sayer denied it but based on my sources at Al Sayer and the aggressive call I got from the Al Sayer Franchising team it felt like they were, in fact, talking with Chick-Fil-A.

I guess those talks failed because fast forward to today, I get an email from my source letting me know that Alshaya have finally signed with Chick-fil-A. No idea if Alshaya have agreed to close on Sundays or if Chick-fil-A have loosened up their policy for the region, but either way, I don’t care. With Chick-fil-A coming to Kuwait, the only other franchise left that we really need is In-N-Out.

Not sure what is so special about In-N-Out to warrant another burger joint in Kuwait so I went looking for more info…adn learned that they are not a franchise business. 🙂

My mom will be so happy, every day she describes the sandwiches to my kids and I always respond with, they’re a Christian company and will never come to Kuwait. Makes me hungry just thinking about it. Now if they can convince their other homie In-N-Out then my life is complete and my dieting days will be over.

My sister’s first job was In-N-Out in Corona, California and she was in charge of the fries. She made good money working for them.

My sisters husband is gay and he is the Chic A Fil store manager in Minnesota. He got employee of the month back in March.

he’s talking about this controversial anti gay statement the owner had made years ago (like 7 years ago I think? maybe more) which they later apologized for.

Lol you got me Bollywood. It’s not a true story. Anyway, everyone is entitled to their opinion. And my opinion is that the owner and some people here are bigots.

Aljazeera is not a loyal news for taking news from, they are part of radical Muslims brotherhood.
I’m Muslim & I supported Trump, he’s against radical Muslims + we have strong relationship with the republicans party.

So I guess Trump’s whole “Muslim ban” thing was a figment of our imaginations? Or maybe it was “fake news”….

Ooh Look at the snowflakes being triggered…

1) The Ban did not include Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey ,United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman , Kuwait, Indonesia, Pakistan – the biggest muslim majority countries.
A genuine, hate-fueled Muslim ban would include all or most of Earth’s 51 majority-Muslim nations.

2)The countries targeted in President Trump’s executive order on immigration were initially identified as “countries of concern” under the Obama administration.

3) The Banned Countries also include North Korea and Venezuela

Sounds like you are the one in denial of the truth . But thats ok for snowflakes.

how are they bringing chick fil a when they already have raising canes? I mean didn’t raising canes sign a non compete clause with al shaya?

Alshaya has like 3 pizza brands in avenues, two side by side so don’t think they care about canabalizing sales. Plus no one cares about raising cane

More fast food restaurants? Kuwait needs to invest more in the social atmosphere, that’s the only way that anybody would want to come here. There’s more to life than food.

Chick-fil-A is amazing, sure hope they keep the standard in Kuwait as well, and plenty of Chick-fil-A sauce as well!

not sure why Im not more excited about this news. Probably because there are already so many amazing chicken sandwich options in Kuwait….i have a feeling its going to be as underwhelming as Wendys and the rest of the Amercian brands that opened here over the last couple of years. Theres nothing wrong with any of them, but competition is fierce and the local concepts are holding their own
