They’re supposedly opening sometime in May or June across the street from Al Shaheed Park in Al Tijaria Tower. They brought down their hoarding today so May or June seems plausible.
Update: The hoarding is still up, the shot was taken from inside it

Not enough Burger Joints in Kawait.
Anyone know who the owner is?
Alsayer
In that case, their choice for the location seems a bit odd.
Al Sayer Group
The parking for that building is bad enough already, there are so many other places they could’ve chosen from.
The parking issue is sorted. They opened a huge parking lot under Shaheed Park last year.
Alshaheed parking is intended ti serve the park as there is no exit to the street
the parking also serves tijaria, i always park there and cross the street. why are people too lazy to walk a bit, it’s just across the street.
I always say the same thing until it’s noon in July in Ramadan and you can’t drink water and then I remember
Wait a few years and it won’t be July. In any case why would you be going to Five Guys at noon in Ramadan?
I think they will opening also in light restaurant complex in mahbulah
If they are opening there, there is no coming sign for them yet.
Yeah, I pass by daily and there’s no such indication.
Cross the Al Soor 4 lane street? No thanks. It’s already freakin dangerous crossing roads marked pedestrian in Kuwait. There isn’t a pedestrian crossing from in front of Tijaria. It’s not about lazy. It’s about personal safety. For the most part parking downtown has never been adequate. At least Burj Jassem tower and Arraya Mall has a parking garage connected to their building. Too bad they don’t have many shops worth shopping at IMHO. As far as dodging cars to cross a 4 lane street in Kuwait is dangerous.
It’s 2 lanes and it’s an inside street, do you want a pedestrian bridge over a 2 lane inside road?
it’s actually a 3 lane btw, but 3 lane is where people park hence 2 lanes
To be honest, for that road, yes I would like to see a small bridge over it for pedestrians.
Have you guys ever crossed the road there? There are barely any cars and no traffic so why would they build s pedestrian bridge? Plus if people are too lazy to park there and cross the road they surely are going to be too lazy to walk up a pedestrian bridge.
I’m talking about an air conditioned pedestrian bridge like the one at Marina Mall which crosses over gulf road. Escalators on both end with elevator for the handicapped. Shaheed parking is across from Tijaria and they both are very beautifully developed. Extending a bridge across like the one at Marina Mall would be both utilitarian and artful. Again, it’s not about lazy. This would facilitate access for older and handicapped persons as well. It’s about safety.
well yeah unless there are escalators no one would use it and unless there is an elevator, old and disabled people won’t be able to use it. but i don’t think there is enough space for either of these (maybe?) and for such a short distance and small road it’s overkill. gulf road is huge and busy, this is a small inside road that doesn’t have much traffic.
The best thing i can imagine working here would be a tunnel connecting the two properties, the parking of shaheed leading into the basement of tijaria mall.
Tunnel would be awesome! Especially taking the heat and dust elements into account. That’s actually a better idea since they could actually take advantage of promoting each other. Imagine you have a full meal at Tijaria and you walk or stroll it off at shaheed park. Tunnel makes sense. Maybe you should pitch it to Tijaria. Afterall it would benefit both
I was just thinking about a very simple shaded bridge that even disabled people in wheelchairs can go on…
A tunnel would be nice, but I can never imagine it happening.
I don’t know about u Mark, but it’s not just this one, many roads in the city scare me a bit when crossing.
I work at Tijariya Bldg. you’re correct. there are barely any cars and no traffic at certain times of the day, but usually cars launching from the traffic signals on either sides can cause a real pain for crossing pedestrians, just few moments ago, a woman was killed instantly while crossing the road. i strongly agree on building a pedestrian bridge, just for the sake of pedestrian safety.
Also they are another brunch on the light complex abu halifa

I need to sit myself down for this”Food overall is terrible in Montreal” bit. All I can manage saying to this is I am a flying Dutchman and the Ayatollah is a reluctant Iranian.
Frankly, Mark you have the knack of attracting the most absurd of (tangential) comments on most of your entries including this one here! Quite how you manage doing it is the stuff of a CAP- Kwt workshop. Of course, my comment is also not immune and I stand guilty as accused 🙂 🙂
ROFL with a dollop of LMAO.
Good luck to 5 Guys, btw.
Hi Mark,
it will be opened on the 22nd of May
