Lexy Stevens was in Kuwait

Post by Mark

Super busty Lebanese/Australian model Lexy Stevens was in Kuwait this past weekend for the opening of a new restaurant called OVO Bar (not that OVO). I had never heard of her before but was flipping through her instagram account and two things came into my mind:

1) Damn
2) Kuwait is becoming more and more liberal

Back in August I posted about a rumor that porn star Mia Khalifa was in Kuwait and now I’m starting to think there probably was some truth to that. Anyway you can check out some photos (and a video) of Lexy Stevens in Kuwait on her instagram account [Here]

PS: The picture above is the most conservative I could find.

    BUT HOW?

Where is that black line that goes across her skin? What is this sorcery ?

  6. meh says:

This abomination is considered sexy or something? What has humanity come to..

  7. Khaled says:

I’m just trying to understand the value in her and the other influencer from Dubai attending the launch. Is she really known here? And the posts they made offered barely anything (pun intended).

Becoming more liberal maybe compare to 10 years ago. But Kuwait was much more liberal 50/40 years ago though.

I’m so sick of this “fact”. For a good portion of the 1960s women were not allowed to attend university in Kuwait.

      ~ SO LIBERAL ~

      • Mark says:

And blacks in America weren’t allowed to use the same bathrooms as white people

        • CodeGuru says:

          Totally agree with you Mark.

Anyway liberal as well as conservative in a way are broad terms and people even from the same society and cultural background have different definitions. But I’ll avoid discussing it in comments for now cause I’m seeing some people are unable to discuss in a civilized manner and this could turn into flame war.

Being liberal has little to do with the amount of skin showing or alcohol drinking or clubbing or many other Arab and Kuwaiti misconceptions about what being a liberal means.

    • Mark says:

It’s about accepting the amount of skin that can be shown or the fact if people want to drink or accepting people wanting to go clubbing. There is no misconception here we all know what it means.

      • mungee says:

yeah but kuwait has always been liberal for the higher ups. Many Kuwaitis I’ve known have bars, have their own full on parties, dress like they want etc etc… in the mean time the asianas and people not in the social elite get jailed, beaten up and deported for the exact same things. Get some asian girl in Salmiya dressing like this and we’ll see how liberal the country really is.

        • meh says:

You should start a movement or something and put all that sulking to use instead of it going down the nobodygivesashit realms of the internet.

          • mungee says:

You are free to not give a shit but that is hardly representative of everyone connected to the web. And don’t worry, I’ll take care of what I ‘should’ be doing.

Don’t worry though, nothing is expected of you.

        • Sami says:

Yes, the Kuwaiti definition of “liberalism” is very superficial, that’s what I was trying to say.

      • Sami says:

Being liberal is to have a set of values, of which tolerance toward clothing or alcohol drinking is only a very small subset. If it’s about accepting the amount of skin shown or drinking or clubbing, then Donald Trump is a Liberal, but he is not, he is a conservative bigot.

        • Mark says:

I’m not disagreeing with you since you’re basically saying what i am saying, the only difference is I’m mentioning clothing, alcohol and clubbing because they’re the easiest thing everyone can relate to and not because they’re the most important thing in being a liberal

    • aaa says:

My favorite part of the wikileaks documents about Kuwait was the ambassador saying “Liberal” whenever she talked about Kuwaitis who considered themselves westernized and open minded but in the same sentence would say things like “He’s not a real Kuwaiti, I’m a real Kuwaiti”

Liberal for most people here = I drink

  12. Sss says:

Nothing ‘damn’ about her.. her face is so botched.

  13. Jay says:

yeah, liberal it seems means women commodify themselves that men cannot thing beyond their b**bs and sex when they see them. appealing to the most basic instincts is considered liberal it seems.

  14. Joe says:

What the hell is OVO Bar?

  15. jiblawi says:

thats great ! a more secular and liberal kuwait is always good for us.

  16. Amy says:

I have seen a bit more skin lately. Just wondering, are there any laws about this or is it just about what’s socially acceptable? Mark, maybe something your lawyer contributor could write about?
