This is one list where I’m glad we’re at the top of. I also can’t believe the gas prices in Venezuela are THAT cheap. If I lived in Venezuela I could fill up my FJ’s gas tank for just 250fils! That’s a lot cheaper than bottled water…
1. Venezuela US$0.06
2. Saudi Arabia US$0.45
3. Kuwait US$0.81
4. Egypt US$1.14
5. UAE US$1.77
6. Iran US$2.15
7. Nigeria US$2.34
8. Malaysia US$2.36
9. Mexico US$3.22
10. United States US$3.29

so technically you’re looking at filling up for $0.02 per Liter. That’s insane!
But I’m pretty sure Venezuela doesn’t have as many Burger joints as we do here so Kuwait is still no.1 for me ๐
Glad? That’s insanely selfish. You can’t say that and then complain about traffic and pollution. We need to abolish the fuel subsidy and find better ways to redistribute wealth, either through a lump sum ‘fuel rebate’ or some other mechanism. Free energy is killing us.
This is life ๐
No, it’s not. It’s just the set of rules we’re allowing ourselves to live by.
There are alternatives that allow us to maintain benefits while improving overall quality of life. We won’t get anywhere standing idly by and saying c’est la vie.
So you want to pay 1KD per gallon like the US? And financially murder Kuwaiti’s? Kuwaitis are in debt as it is. We don’t need another expensive crap to think about, paying 300K for a house is enough as it is.
What don’t you understand in “rebate”? Subsidizing fuel, electricity and water is just plain stupid.
Instead of the government wasting money artificially lowering the price of petrol/electricity/water, they can just give us the money as a monthly bonus.
That way, people who waste get to pay more, people who use average get the same, and people who save energy make money. Nothing changes except we reward good behavior and punish wasteful behavior.
Distributing the money? or investing it on a good public transportation system? High fuel prices might be the key to persuade people to use the public transportation system (once that is in place).
Dude..This is just Dreams.. ppl will fight with each other.. open your eyes .. look at our arab brothers .. how they were and how they are now after liberation!
Surprisingly, KSA half of Kuwait price !!!
Surprisingly, KSA half of Kuwait price !!!
finally something to be positive about in kuwait
interesting!! never thought KSA is that cheap! unless they are comparing different grades of gas
As it is people leave the engine running when they pop into a bakala or stop to chat with friends. If fuel was any cheaper they’d leave it running while they’re at work or at the movies.
India: US$04.70 approx per gallon!!
Qatar should be in that list too! We’re almost half half of what it would cost to fill your car in UAE! But am not sure compared to Kuwait!
It costs 15KD to fill a 2010 Tahoe in UAE, cut it in half, it’ll cost 7.5KD in Qatar by the estimate you provided.
It costs 5KD to fill the Tahoe using Lead-free gas in Kuwait.
The gas prices need to be increased by atleast a factor of 3. First, it would decrease unnecessary driving. That means a whole lot of less traffic. Second, it would add mean a shift towards smaller cars [ no more bu3agad in his safari patrol running wild in the emergency lane]. Third, it would mean that the Kuwait would export more oil and the wealth of the country as a whole would increase [ because we wouldn’t be consuming as much]
And if the highest price per gallon in the world will leave India at number 1 by $5.60
Europe in general is much higher than that
nope its not

It is not a good thing! This is one of many reasons that we have traffic problems.
Suck that!!!
(I’m Venezuelan)
And Mark, it would be way less than 250 because the legal conversion is never used unless you go an exchange house..m normaly one dollar = 21 bolivares
And the legal exchange is $1= 6.5 bolivares
(Inflation and devaluation at its best)
HOLY SHIT that sucks
Even though the USA produces very little oil, it has very low gas prices. Now why is that?
Very low gas prices my ass.
It took 60$ to fill my ford fusion in Florida. And the tank wasn’t even empty
We all know the reason.. :p
