BBC World Radio in Kuwait

I just read on Kuwaitism’s blog that the English version of BBC World is now available in Kuwait on 100.1 FM. I used to listen to the station the whole time while I was in Lebanon on the frequency AM 1323. It was the coolest station filled with news, documentaries and interviews. Here in Kuwait I listen to VOA news on FM 96.9 but early in the year they changed their programming to focus more on educating people on the English language and its just really crap now. Can’t wait till I get into my car and try tuning to BBC World.

Yes I feel ashamed and will leave as soon as is humanly possible, so I can return to England and spend all day listening to Al Jazeera on the net ๐Ÿ˜‰

uhh jus tune to 100.1 fm … they jus talk n talk n talk and then they talk some more… its ok if your into that… but i like some music also .. jus news all the time and that too “xxx number of ppl died over there and bombs exploded over here and this prez called that prez a fuckin fag and this guy has a baby boy after 40 years…” yak yak yak… we need some good music stations like in dubai…

it’s nice to hear intelligent English on the radio finally. Poor poor “superstation” Linda… now she just sounds even dumber.

was listening to BBC yesterday night and today morning. Feels good to have a decent radio channel. VOA is like music all the time now and when there isnt music its learning english shows.

I thought they’d been around for a while…they’re on like all the time in my car and I didn’t know this was recent.

I was listening to the radio earlier and a man was being interviewed on air he was referred to as Papa Dimitrio. He was talking about the Syrian crisis and humanitarian relief. What’s his full name so I can look him up please. I really liked his point of view and enjoyed listening to him
