Not sure where you got that from Maged, but the list shows that Israel is #25, US is #7, and Canada at #9.

Not that big of a difference though.

Since when is Iran an Arab country??

So Mark, a couple of posts ago you were surprised at how bad people’s geography is when they argued over Lebanon being in the Middle East. Apparently you went to the same school as those kids if you think Iran is an Arab country šŸ˜€

Umm mark Lebanon is an Arab country. Arab isn’t an ethnicity its simply the official language spoken in a country. Hence Lebanon and Sudan are both Arab countries despite the difference in ethnicity and religions.

Iran an Arab country. I don’t know how I missed that!

Wait, if Lebanon isn’t an Arab country, what is it then?

al: Arab actually is an ethnicity or else according to your definition any country where German is the main language is a German country, any country where they speak French is a French country etc..

and

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab#Arab_identity

There are various factors to what makes an Arab country an Arab country but people generally call countries that speak Arabic Arab since it’s easy and people don’t like to think too much.

@Kuwait Yeah, I must admit I’d like to find the list of all 71 countries myself. (Would help build travel plans for the future)

Does anyone know where we can find the country list?

@Mark

Please don’t tell me youre one of those lebanese people that keep saying theyre ‘phoenicians’ and not Arab?

No offense but is it a Christian thing? Because it seems to be exclusive to lebanese christians

I don’t think it’s a Lebanese thing. There are a lot of Egyptians who don’t consider themselves Arabs, and actually don’t even like being called Arabs, especially Copts, just respect their wishes.

@Mark: By that argument, then not only Lebanese aren’t Arabs, so aren’t the Syrians, the Iraqis, the Egyptians, Moroccans, etc. The only true Arabs, based on ethnicity, are the Bedouins from the Najd area (mostly Saudis and some GCC citizens)

Besides, aren’t you Armenian-Lebanese? So you are definitely not an Arab šŸ˜€

Mark I’ve lived in lebanon for nearly five years and I can tell you that all my lebanese friends consider themselves an arab except for the odd few who think they’re Iranians.

The term Arab was coined by Europeans a long time ago because of the language used in the middle-east. Germans do not speak German, I did not mean it that way. Arabs being an ethnicity is a myth and isn’t only for those who come from Najd as Dew suggested.

Phoenicians, cannanites, akkadians, and Assyrians all came from the arabian peninsula and are semites just like Arabs and jews. You can just do a DNA test and see if you are an Arab (i.e semite).

Besides, Lebanon was included in all ur links. Whatever, we all had the same origin whether u believe in creationism or evolution.

I have checked the list and 90% of those countries you dont even want to visit. Mostly african, central america, and asian countries with no tourism. Only maldives is worth it šŸ™‚
