You’ve probably passed by this building a number of times but not really known what it was or what’s inside. It’s currently getting demolished which is why I thought I would share some pictures I took back in 2003. Back then the building was still open and me and my friend decided to explore it and take some pictures. Most of the shots I had taken were abstract (it was a phase I went through) but I did find some shots that actually showed some of the interior which I posted below. We found a room full of files that contained dates and times of ships passing through some dating back to the 70s and I’m sure there might have been some even older. I kinda regret not taking more photos and flipping through more files but this is still better than nothing.

2012 started bad according to me.
Destroy the bridge before the building… Fail 😛
i think they want to use battle ships to destroy it.
During low tide, the building can be reached without the pier.

such government documents abandoned full of dust and some of it on the ground ?
how shameful..
You think our personnel files and residency papers in the ministry are in a posh bomb-proof cabinet?
IMHO it should be ..
We were having lunch at Mais the other day overlooking this. It reminded me when we used to go swimming there in the 70s and early 80s. During a low tide it was the perfect beach for collecting shells.
Wonder what’s coming in its place…
I’m sure it’ll be a Starbucks or Pinkberry.
I hope they put a Burger restaurant in there!
i hope it’s shisha.
Nice location to shoot a zombie apocalypse flick.
I visited the place a couple of months ago.
Once during high tide and once during low tide. It was old and abandoned and non functional. People were using it to cast their fishing lines. We wanted to take the stairs right to the top, but decided against it when we saw the condition of the stairs.
” we decided to explore ” translated legally ” we decided to trespass “
Seen it so many time but never thought of visiting it 🙁 … wish I had!
