Remember the old photographer who I posted about last year? In case you don’t, he was an old man who came to Kuwait over 50 years ago and became a photographer. He was pretty lonely and depressed when I met him but with the help of my readers we were able to make his dream come true and send him to Hajj. Well I just found out Al Qabas newspaper have a full page spread about him in today’s issue (Thursday 21, 2011) which is pretty amazing!
So pick up the newspaper if you can and read about the old man’s life journey or you download the PDF from here [Page 1] and [Page 2]
If you want to read the previous posts about him then here they are:

7amdilla the man is doing well! You did a great job of putting some light onto him!
Inshalla he keeps getting the help that he needs!
in the interview he mentioned that he went to hajj at his own expense.
What do you want him to say??? The people are offering him money at his age and after all these yrs to be able to afford his life expenses!!! Will you do that in public?? put urself in his shoes???! Will yo do it?? Besides whoever did that does not wait for others to pay him back or talk abt his good deeds… he did not for God who eventually will pay him back!!!
damn Alzheimer!!!
+1
I figured it’s either he didn’t want people to know or he simply might have forgot (he’s that old). I’m sure there wasn’t any bad intentions from his side.
great stuff, thanks mark
If government could do something then they should give him Kuwaiti passport as he is here before 1959 or atleast iqamah
he didn’t go at his own expense. think of it like this, why would he wait til lthe age of 80 to go to hajj when he could have already gone?
and maybe another reason could be that the person who paid the expenses didn’t want his/her name to be revealed. when you do someone good, you don’t do it so that a name gets the spotlight, it’s because you want them to be happier which might probably be the reason the haji told he himself paid. 😀
Glad that he’s doing well Mark check ur pm.
Bravo, it’s really inspiring to see how you brought a smile into somebody’s life!
