I just read the following on the Animal Friends Facebook group:
Ayeshah Al-Humaidhi said: Woke up to call that the staff building at the shelter was on fire. No one was hurt and all animals were unharmed but we lost a portion of the building. Four of our staff have lost everything except the clothes on their back and most of the bedding for the animals also burned. We are needing donations of cash for repairs, mens clothes in S/M/L and towels/blankets for the animals.

This is sad. I’m glad non of the animals were hurt.
Would be good if they issue out a target figure to be raised.
I wish we had such organized people working to help people in Kuwait…
3azeez, very unfortunate but its true, in today’s world animals have more value and USP than humans.
@3azeez: People know to help themselves, and more importantly, people know to ask for help.
But I do agree with you that Kuwait lacks such an organization.

It’s a great cause to donate to I’m sure many people are reading this without commenting. I have some bits and already called for addtress just have to get down there down. Keep up the fab work Linda and Animal Friends.

i just got a text msg from someone forwarding a message saying that there had been a fire and around 40 animals had been killed. animal friends is in need of funds to help to rebuild. is this true?
