BMW Dealer Waiting Area

Some of my long time readers might remember I had a huge issue with the BMW dealership a few years ago. Well even though I had the big fight with them I still ended up getting another Beemer after selling my old one (yup typical Lebanese). Anyway today while getting an oil change at the dealership I spotted a sign that said “Video Games”. I thought that was weird but figured they setup a kids area or something. As I got closer I spotted another sign that said “Internet” and noticed a bunch of laptops set up for people to use. I then noticed two large LCD screens connected to two PS3’s with a bunch of games laid out on the table. There was also a cozy waiting area with a huge LCD screen and a coffee machine for complimentary drinks. I should have checked if there was wifi but totally forgot to do that.

I haven’t dealt with a lot of dealerships just Jeep and Toyota but I think the BMW service area is definitely better than those two.

The customers, the ones who actually end up buying vehicles, are being charged for the entertainment. They just don’t know it.

Mark:

I don’t think Dealer’s service should be based on Customer’s entertainment rather than the Quality of the service/Product he’s giving.

I ,for one, Had expreienced ford’s , chevy’s ,Audi’s , Nissan and Toyota/Lexsus’s dealers . and frankly I Can’t Even compare them to last one.

Al-Sayer might sell overpriced car , but when it comes to after sale services and warranty , such as Quick service branches , parts and maintenance , and lastly selling it , A Whole different level .

Hmm i might buy BMW 530 just to beat everyone on GT5.

hehehe i would settle for free side view mirrors. Each mirror (just the actual glass not the whole thing) costs KD150! Going to visit the junkyard this weekend…

The Alghanim dealership has probably the best repair garage I have ever seen. Not only is it the biggest, but you also get a gaming station, free Internet, a nice lounge (even a separate area for kids); great glass windows so you can view the garage and an X-cite branch right there in the lounge.

check how many jacks they got in
new service center shuaikh,
but their service and lounge
facilities are outstanding

Classic BMW “stealership”, I’ve heard many woe stories about those guys especially the one in Dubai, I had to wait there for SEVEN hours once to get my 3-month-old faulty rear view mirror replaced under warranty, the place has got to be entertaining! Part vendors give out a 37% discount meanwhile the “stealership” gives out 12%.

Regarding Al-Sayer body shop and spare parts I took my car there last week to fix a small bump on the front side by doing so my car got hit 3 times in their garage by their unprofessional staff, even the paint job they did wasn’t that great either. In addition to that they don’t open the door from the inside using their hands they rather kick the door now I have marks on my door from the inside that can’t be removed.

And the 3rd hit I got from them was after I paid for the repairs they did and while walking to my car I noticed a big scratch on the front left bumbper side because the guy who was reversing another car didn’t even bother to look into the mirror.

Cheap labor + increasing your car price every year = bad service + a dealer and staff who don’t give a damn about customers

Note: I have proof and pics taken from inside their garage for every hit I got

“wow sir!! Your skills in winning eleven is phenomenal ! that was a great goal, one of the best we’ve seen in come through the waiting area. By the way, you have an oil leak and your radiator is rusty, that’s gonna cost you 450 KD – but seriously, nice goal !”

No Smokin is right about Alghanim, they have nice ammenities in there. They just take too damn long to wash my ride once the service is finished!
