Bring back A&W, Wendy’s and Arby’s

favorite places

Could someone please bring back my three favorite franchises to Kuwait. A&W originally opened up in the 80’s and then shut down only to open up again in the 90’s and to be shut down once more. Arby’s opened up in the late 80’s and then shutdown once the owner got the Burger King Franchise. Wendy’s opened up in the early 90’s to be shutdown for some unknown reason.

With Kuwait being the 8th fattest country in the world you would think that every imaginable franchise would fight for the opportunity to open here. How come my three favorite franchises no longer exist in Kuwait?

yes of course yummy i never order anything but the roast beef it’s extra effort put into a juicy roast beef sandwich

i have had food poisoning from A&W burgers twice, that place was unsanitary which is properly why it was shut down
i liked wendy’s though, Arby’s sells mostly roast beef which i hate

sfsa78 – If I can’t find Almarai milk and juice, I go without milk and juice. I noticed last week that Carrefour weren’t stocking it any more, and TSC had ‘run out’. Maybe KDD are ‘wasta’ing them out due to Almarai’s popularity (they’re always the first to sell out).

I visited the Almarai farms outside Riyadh once. Amazing. You would think you were in the green firelds of Europe.

I want Wendy’s , Arby’s & A&M to come back soon plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, that is so sad , they are best fast food 🙁

Wendy’s is gone from Saudi Arabia :<

never heard of Arby’s, looks interesting

At least we still have one branch of A&W left (if its not there anymore we can trust Tamimi to get some canned A&W drinks 😉 )

I was thinking of Long John Silvers or Taco Bell to bring to kuwait after 5yrs (if i have enough money:P) …. but about comment #23 (Zabo0o6a): YESSSS!!! that place is awesome…

if no one gets it, i will give it a try when i hav the money 😛

A&W is the best one for me especially the chessfries tasty, last year i saw it in qatar airport hope it’s going back to kuwait .

Well for me the halal food of these resturants is going to be different since I go to these franchises here in the US.

Please, if they’re going to bring back Arby’s, then they should stick to the original menu and skip on the locally made sandwiches (we were like the only fucking country to own a hambrugers-serving Arby’s!!!). I really really miss Wendy’s. They used to be open really late during college nights back in the states. But I remember back then when it used to be around, the meals were actually expensive. I do remember some meals were priced around 1.8 kD and 2.250 KDs. So you can figure out the price of meals with nowdays prices !!! I don’t think I’ll afford that for a burger meal :S

Ok so I live in Newfoundland, Canada, and this is actually the third time I got food poisoning from A&W. Be glad that you dont have A&W there!!

OMG! i miss Wendy’s like hell, i spent my childhood there, used to go there every night with my family for dinner, i still wonder why did they shut it down.. every thing was perfect there.. the staff, the food and the location. even the egyptian security guy 😛
A&W was amazing also, specially with it’s free root beer refull.
Arby’s had this amazing touch screens to order from.. it was pretty awesome and weird years ago!

Wendy’s was the best in salem al-mubarak street anyways.

arbyssssssssssssssssssssssss
i was a ddicted to it when i was in university espacilly the roast chiken
it was really stupid idea to close it

I wish they wd re open it
Oh God u really brough memories to me, I was searching for Arbys in kuwait!!! and here i find Arbys freaks lol
🙂 Nice topic

If you like fast-food hamburgers, malts, and pretty decent chicken sandwiches and french fries, you should try to get a “Whataburger” restaurant in Kuwait!! Good for a big chain operation. I wouild say better than Wendy’s.

This is my first log in, it’s today Sep 28th, 2013 that i found the comments was on 2008. All i wanna say that the memories are beautiful, i remember A&W, Wendy’s & Arby’s & Hungry Bunny all were in Salmiya as i remember in the 90s.

Unfortunately, out of Kuwait you find all the old memories are available, if something new will open no probs but the old places will still remain, that place since 1919 & other something old or older. But here in Kuwait the things are commercial belong to the damn agent, if will make money it means will remain, if not it means close down, for example, in the early 90s we found Hungry Bunny is replaced in to Burger King, as normal we though that the original company in the US is changing the brand, but, recently accidentally one of my friends was telling me last month do you believe that there is Hungry Bunny in Kuwiat? I told him how come? maybe you mean world of Hungry Bunny in Hawally, he told me no it’s the original crazy bunny, he showed me the photos until i believed that and the it location in Abu-Halifa.

So, that example can clear that the damn agent in Kuwait will not listen to you or to me, memories, new, whatever is all are the same. The most important is his pocket, is this brand making money or not!!!!

Also i will remind all about something that nobody will remember it except few “Wimpy”.

All old are good.
