Some of those lenses do match Amazon prices, probably cheaper because you don’t have to pay shipping. I’ve been lens browsing for 3 days and the prices are very close…

Yes that’s correct. I’ve also visited the ones in Souk Al Watiya and Salhiya(near UTC) but the one in Shamiya Co-op is the best.
I just came back from the one in Shamiya, didn’t have the 35 or 50 mm prime lens 🙁

Going to be getting the 35mm 1.8g soon. Amazon price is 55 with 10 shipping and their price is 81.9.
Also, the 50mm 1.8d that you mentioned is a must have for under 40 kd is fickle with the d3xxx and d5xxx cameras since those lenses don’t have motors. You will always have to manually focus and also will have to set the aperture manually everytime. I have one and its so much fun and the quality is so great, but it would put off newbie photographers.
