If Kuwait wins is it a day off?

A reader emailed me asking if it’s true that if Kuwait wins in tonight’s game that tomorrow will be a day off. I hadn’t heard about this and was wondering if it’s true?

its not something official.. people are just planning on taking the day off but it isn’t a decision coming from the government or anything..

if we hopefully win, and the day off is true then i guess we’ll hear it on the news! maybe around 8? But for now its NOT true whatsoever :p

Its just something thats going around, nothing official.
I’m going to school tomorrow, so I can take wednesday and thursday off (: haha.

Iv’e had it broadcasted a few times, and I was planning on asking you to see if it was true, apparently someone got there before me 😛
lets hope its true, a three day week, how awesome would that be? 😮

Why would they say that?
They can celebrate today and tmrw, Tuesday is already a holiday!
Btw schools started there mid-term exams!

Tomorrow is a REGULAR working day. I guarantee you that.

HOWEVER, having said that, I don’t think anyone can guarantee that you will find any work-willing employees at any ministry tomorrow 😛

I’m seconding Zorbon.

I’ve been hearing some rumors flying around about class at the American University [AUK] tomorrow. Following Kuwait’s victory, the Dean of Humanities, Nizar Hamzeh, apparently told students that tomorrow would be a day off for faculty and students alike. I just got a phone call from a cousin who is friends with the president of the Student Government Association, who said that the Dean retracted his statement and that tomorrow WILL be a working day.

What a load of crap.

I wonder who’s going to attend tomorrow anyway…

Mabrook yalazraq, 10 out of 20 Gulf Cups WOW just ecstatic. Thanx to all our great players and our coach Goran Tufegdžić (good luck pronouncing it). Couldn’t be any happier 🙂

the dean of humanities of AUK stood up at the auditorium after the game and announced that there will be no university tomorrow, however I received a few broadcast and phone calls that said Nizar Hamza took back his word, and there will be classes. That is lame! But still hoping to get good news in the morning
