I passed by KIPCO Tower (formally known as United Tower) which is located on the same street as Al Hamra Tower and Arraya. The tower looks pretty cool and the mall inside although not big is very bright and nicely designed.
It’s not officially open yet but I did walk around just to see what kind of shops are opening up there and I’ve put together a list which you can see below. Majority of them seem to be restaurants:
Upper Crust Pizza
MEZO (a cafe or restaurant)
Cafe November
Dijon (a restaurant)
Bubbleology Tea (UK franchise)
Alpha Wellness (some kind of spa I’m guessing)
Johnny Rockets
KFH
With three malls on that short strip it’s starting to look like Salmiya… which I don’t mind of course. The tower was originally supposed to have residential space but I’m not sure if that happened.

it did happen, I heard they rent for 800~ish KD
I doubt they’re that cheap.
I heard that the residential apartments at Al Hamra start from 10,000kd month, so I highly doubt these would be anywhere near 800kd.
Just to clairify there arnt any residential apartments in alhamra thats for sure

The first fifteen floors are residential apartment for sale or rent. The rest are offices !
Friend of mine told me that the prices starts from 300K for two bedroom apartment !
For rent I don’t know !

offices should be in lower floors and residential apartments in uper floors! why would someone pay 300K to buy an appartment with street and bulidings view !
Hey, the tower consist of a mall (GF-F4), residential apartments (F6-F16) with 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom & 3 bedroom apartments, the rest of the floors are offices. All apartments are equipped with a smart system where you can control the apartments from any smart phone wherever you are. And the tower has the most stste of the art & advanced IT (information technology) infrastructure in Kuwait.
That is the place where you mix pleasure with business 🙂

It would be cool if all the major building in this area were connected with A/C’d sky walk bridges.
Again its commercial, in order to build something that big it needs to be commercial (offices and shops only) along with a lot of vitamin W, though if there is a small possibility that they built apartments but looking at how much more can they make from offices i doubt that
*As nobody is allowed to build that much residental space

I would just like to clarify that KIPCO Tower is a mixed use building which means it has a Retail component, Residential component and Office space.
The residential component offers 1,2, and 3 bedroom apartments for lease or sale.
