Mark, you should REALLY go to the Association of the US Army (AUSA) annual convention one year in DC. You are a gadgets guy and would enjoy seeing all the military stuff. It is only a 9kd membership fee to get you in. I got a copy of SAIC’s Striker simulator game that they were handing out; similar to the Humvee simulator you mentioned. They hand out all kinds of cool items at the show (https://www.ausa.org/meetings/2010/annualmeeting/Pages/default.aspx). 500 booths and all the major defense contractors.
