Napket opening soon

Napket

The stylish British cafe Napket is going to open at the Avenues phase 2 before the end of the year. I’ve never tried Napket but I passed by it a few times while in London and the place was packed. supposedly they’ve got amazing sandwiches. Now if only Pret a Manger would open up…

Not easy . . . For example, they have organic coffee made with organic fresh milk . . . I wish the franchise owner all the best – but it will only be a real Pret a Manger if they ensure the quality is high.

The reason Pret a Manger is well off here is because people heavily depend on it to get food on the go during lunch break and before working hours; unless they install Pret a Manger in working facilities back home in Kuwait I’m afraid it wont have the same popularity there compared to *bucks.

Alaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
ya rayt wa7ed min il people who is looking to open a franchise in kuwait opens up pret-a-manager.

The trick is, open early, open it with drive through, and have office delivery!!!

ya rait ya rait yefta7 pret-a-manager in Kuwait. O the first this they cook is their hot falafel wrap!

Whenever i come back home i go to their branch in heathrow o take all the sandwiches i can carry with me with thier potatoes, cakes, and juices. Travellers would stare at me in amazement and once i got asked if i hadnt had lunch recently and why on earth was i carrying this much food with me? i resisted the urge to tell him o inta shako o bel q8y b3d … sej legafa

I would then keep it in my fridge with my lime diet coke and my innocent juices and consume it for a week. No it doesnt go bad for three days at least.

Abi pret a manger :`( if it is open in NY It can open here.

Oh my god, I LOVE Napket – it’s my favourite cafe in London. There are two (near Regent Street, and in Chelsea). It’s cheap and very posh, and quite self-depreciating, in terms of its own humour (on signs etc). Love it! Good spot guys.

I love their food although i like pret a manger as well but i think its wrong to compare it with napket coz the concept is different.
Just question are they going to install ipods like napket in london?
Can’t wait, please update us when it will open.

Thanks mark for this amazing blog.

I am extremely flattered that someone came up with the idea to open NAPKET in Kuwait. It brings home the memories of London coziness and warm indoors. It is one of my favorite places to kick back and relax with a nice cup of hot chocolate and a melted cheese sandwich. Their food is gourment style tasty light sandwiches, fresh salads and delicious mouth watering desserts.

I applaud the members of this idea and wish them the best of luck. I know for sure that I will be at NAPKET every weekend listening to my music and having a peace of mind.

Why franchise? is it rocket science ? are people lacking creativity these days ? Do you think that anything “western” must be very difficult to do because you are inferior beings ? Snap out of it people !

People don’t buy franchises because they lack creativity. You need more then just creativity to be able to open and run a business successfully. There a ton of advantages to buying a franchise. In Kuwait its usually because people love a certain place in London or the States and they want to share it with people back home. I think thats a great thing.

We have a million cafe/restuarant/cookie/cupcake/sweet/food joints in kuwait that are made and invented by our own young q8ys and some of them are pretty good. Some of them can be franchised abroad aslan! not to mention the rest of boutiques/stores/online stores… so people in kuwait do not lack creativity in any way. in fact they are so brimming with creativity they sometimes go overboard. So many copycats though.

Yet i am still happy to see places like Haaggen Dazs, D Lush, napket, Mcdonalds, Starbucks, and maybe one day pret a manager because are very special and just different.

But i think napket lel asaf will be filled with pretentious people dressing up to the nines to drink a coffe and stare at each other. Not a place for peace and quite where you plug your ipod and get lost in your thought in peacful stylish surroundings and yummy food. Maybe when another habba place opens after it it will finally become peaceful…

pret-a-manger is good for quick bite but not for a gourmet sandwiches& salads.
When i went to napket last month i felt like a kid in a sweet shop i couldn’t stop looking around :p It is supper stylish, and the food is fresh & light so you don’t feel guilty at all. i went with my wife who thought it was a fashion boutique lol & it ends up that it is a cafe-boutique style, my wife was on diet (in fact always in diet :s ) so she ordered a watermelon juice & an exotic salad, i ordered a chicken sandwich & mashroom soup .. also what attracted her attention the cutlery they were different! Not to mention that she liked the chandelier as well and tried to take a photo but the waiter stopped her becuase its not allowed :/ i couldn’t try the ipod because the seats with ipos were limited.
Definitely going to try napket on saturdays.

Wow I can’t believe that Napket is coming to Kuwait..this just shows us how Kuwait is really up to date with recent hits from cosmopolitan cities such as London.

Honestly Napket is much more avant-garde and fashionable than Pret-a-manger (I am sure many will agree with me if they know both concepts). I believe Napket will be successful in Kuwait since its core concept takes the usual coffee paper café concept to a much more luxurious and gourmet level (it is not starbucks..and not caribou..not Costa or 2nd cup but more like a paper cup café with a boutique feel to it..this is why the concept ironically has its tagline as “SNOB FOOD” ) and Kuwaitis seem to dig this kind of stuff 

anon: Bain Hagen Daz w Caribou bs Fog broo7aa.. Now rakebaw le3laan 3ala il bab mn bara .. it looks amazing!

their service sux big time and I don’t care if they’re still new or short of staff but they were so damn rude, we left!! over 20 minutes of waiting just for an eye contact!!!!!! the menu is a joke!! they pay for the decor bas that menu is a mess!!!!!

What menu chika !!!!! i’ve been there yesterday and they don’t have menus there was a gorgeous chalkboard.
The service was normal and the food was really a la mode.
I loved napket concept it’s really unique.
