New Police Chargers nearly ready

Looks like the new police Dodge Chargers are getting ready to go into service. Someone shot a video of a bunch of police Chargers parked outside the Mulla Behbahani service center in Al Rai. I first posted about the Dodge Charger back when the MOI were still deciding between which car make to go with so it’s interesting to see the progression in time from testing to the final release stage. Hope they’ll be able to catch up with the hooligans creating a nuisance in Salwa with their cars late at night!

this is the last time we will see these cars .
cuz we only see the police cars in the pic`s ,internet & in the tv , but you will never find police cars in the street .
and akeed bel police station in the parkings 🙂

Cops are responsible for fixing their cars! So they won’t be pushing these cars too hard…

On another note.. I know that I can get away from these cars pretty easily since, the two door I have can outrun and out maneuver this Dodge charger, even if its heavily modified as others have mentioned before.. but I would like to get the details on it for sure!

@carly:

CCTV is definitely the way forward. There would be proof. Nobody would be able to contest felonies and security would be right up there.

But if we did have CCTV (closed circuit surveillance) most police officers would get pissed because they wouldn’t get a chance to chat up chicks ………

[I can’t believe I used the word “chicks” …. goddamnit I need to relearn the english language ……. ]

Like they say in ‘The Fast and The Furious’.It’s not the car,it’s the driver.Can any of those cops really handle a high speed chase.

the bmw conversion was still a better conversion than these crappy chargers. now if they ever decided to use the new challenger, which is high improbable, THAT would be news.

I remember during the 80s or early 90s in Kuwait – my mind might be rusty – did the police buy Ford Taurus’ (you know the ones in ‘Robocop’) as vehicles? Or am I getting flashbacks from the movie?

Not to sound preachy, but Marzouq, are you going to put other people lives in danger on the road so that you can play ‘catch me copper’ with the police? I hope for sanity’s sake that you were only joking.
