Octium Jewellery in Wallpaper*

Wallpaper* magazine featured an article on the Octium Jewellery store at 360 Mall. It’s not the first time Kuwait was featured in Wallpaper*, I know of at least one other time since I posted about it [Here]. Too bad the Wallpaper* article doesn’t really show how beautiful the Octium store really is. [Link]

The more surprising thing about the article in Wallpaper* is not mentioning the world renowned designer: Jaime Hayon, which is actually the main reason why the shop is a hit and has been featured in so many design references. Wallpaper* is a design and fashion magazine before being just an “event reporter”.

Sahar, I’m assuming that you haven’t read the article properly, otherwise you wouldn’t be saying such thing. Jaime Hayon was covered in the previous article which was posted in their Wallpaper* directory. I’m afraid you’re missing the point here, the article is posted under fashion, which is another category they cover, and was written by their watch and jewelry editor Jessica Diamond. The whole purpose was not just to cover an event, it is about the unveiling of Octium’s new line of jewelry.

🙂

Sahar, Wallpaper* magazine have already covered the impeccable design of Octium by Jaime Hayon in one of previous issues. Also, Octium have been covered in almost every design magazine around the world and have been listed as one of the most beautiful shops in the world. that been said, this article is strictly about the next step by the Octium creators and the anticipated launch of their first jewelry collection. I think the article was emphasizing on their new collection rather than reporting the event, therefore, its listed under fashion and written by the jewelry and watch editor, not events! And yes, Wallpaper* do have an event reporters to cover artistic, unique and prestigious events around the world.
