Two Atlanteans for export to Kuwait at Northern Counties, Pemberton. 9 May 1983. [original]
Found these two pictures of the old KPTC double decker busses. Turns out they were built by the Northern Counties Motor and Engineering Company in England. The picture above is of the buses before they were shipped to Kuwait while the picture below is of the buses unpainted being taken for a test drive to make sure they’re working fine.

Once, I have spotted City Bus Double Decker few years Back in Jleeb.

Scratch all that. If only Kuwait HAD good drivers!!! Now that’s something to ponder.
Nice party bus.
I don’t recall ever seeing those!
There are three of them that have been parked in the same place for as long as I can remember. They’re across City Center Kuwait City if you’re on Jahra Road (80). They’re even visible on google earth.
Shouldn’t they be keeping atleast one restored piece at the vintage museum?!
Umm.. Naaa ?!
They should have double decker buses for the city this way there will be fewer buses crowding a congested area
this bus must be preserve for the future generations.. nah! Kuwait needs light rail transit like Dubai, or much better a bullet train… 😛

What? We had double decker buses in Kuwait? I never knew that!!!
Why on earth did they disappear?
Why is it that we are always amazed at good things that happened in the past and now cease to exit? bs nerja3 qaree!
yeah we did. I actually found the double decker bus graveyard. I’ll post pictures of it once I get home.
These buses were new in the 1980s. Most were destroyed in the 1991 war although a few survived. Some photos of those opposite City Centre here

There was one running on Failaka Island in 2007. I don’t know if it is still there.
while there did you happen to take pictures of the DeLorean?
DeLorean? where?
I didn’t notice a DeLorean amongst all the scrap cars, although I wasn’t looking for one so would be quite easy to miss in there.
