P. F. Chang opening in Kuwait

A friend of mine just told me that P. F. Chang’s China Bistro is opening up in Kuwait soon. P.F. Chang is a popular American Chinese restaurant chain in the US and the Kuwait branch would be the first outside the US. I don’t have an idea on the location or the opening date, I just know that the employees are currently getting training so if anyone has more details please share them.

Update: 4th Ring Road already posted about this [Here]

Worst Food Ever

You know the ethnic restaurants where the people from that country hate to eat, cause the food is awful, that’s PF Chang’s.

OK so its not traditional Chinese, but its not good anything really, you can’t call it good Chinese, you can’t call it good American, you can’t call it good traditional food, you can’t call it good fusion food. Its Crap Everything.

But it’ll be a hit in Kuwait of course.

The best Chinese restaurant I have ever tried, the best lettuce wraps and Crab wanton for appetizers, and the best Chicken/beef fried rice and sweet duck for main dish,,, they have the best chile sauce made to ur order, the only weired thing is that I have been to more than 6 or 7 PF Chang in 6 or 7 different states, and never seen a single Chinese (neither worker ot costumer) in any of them.

I just saw the 360 video (https://www.360kuwait.com/video.html) and clearly they are showing a lot of alshaya stores so I dont see why not open there since the avenues is already saturated with so many restaurants… plus a lot of people are waiting for it to be opened 😉 good marketing strategy!

It’s made for the US and it should stay in the US. Alshaya need to address the local market flavor not some imaginary customers that won’t come to Kuwait. Talk about Dean & Deluca. 12 samosas for 250 fils from the local coop anyone ?

PFC is a great place if you “don’t” like authentic Chinese food. It’s a great place for being a franchise but it’s not the best. I’ve been to the one Houston where I’m from.

PF Chang’s is a “Chinese Bistro”. I don’t think they have ever said that you could expect traditional Chinese dishes. Went to PFC in Houston on Westheimer this past December and it was …….. “Ok”. It was extremely busy and food seemed rush. I prefer to lunch at PFC.

I tried the restaurant in the Midwest a few months back. Food is good but the portions are not as big as one would get in a mom and pop restaurant.

Paul Fleming’s Chang, opened first location in Scottsdale Arizona, makes great chinese food & then opened Pei Wei (same menu, reduced though and much more like a fast food place) very good food also. He then opened Fleming’s Steak House … ridiculously goood 😛

Can’t wait.
