I just found out from my Alshaya contact that Potbelly in the Avenues will be opening up next week on January 10th. It would be the first Potbelly branch to open up in Kuwait.

This franchise does well in DIFC and Terminal 1 because it caters to a workforce in those areas who need a quick bite on their lunch hours, in Dubai Mall, it appears to not do so well. It is from a region in the USA where people normally eat that type of food. I think it will be novel in Kuwait and will do well but will quickly loose support as more franchises open. The most successful branch will be in the airport if it ever opens.

Who doesn’t eat sandwiches? It’s basically the same thing as subway with better food.

just a word of caution, their sandwiches are known to contain lots of sodium.
Yeah any cold cuts contain really large amounts of sodium, even if you buy them from the jam3iya and make them yourself.
Five of my friends have the food, and have said it was horrible! Salad’s were brown, the potato soup had no potato’s and the sandwiches were just alright!
