Q8 BBQ – All about grilling

I found out about this online BBQ store from Buzberry and I think the idea is pretty interesting. But there are a few things I would fix like adding pictures of the products, better descriptions, decreasing the delivery time to a few hours instead of 48hours, and lowering the minimum order down to KD5 or something instead of the current KD20. Adding an option to have them BBQ the stuff for you in case you don’t want to go through the hassle of doing it yourself would also be cool. [Link]

Ali: The layout is great and the pictures are appetizing! Great work!

But I think it would be better to show a “click here” effect in the starting page since some people might think the site is under construction. I think it wouldn’t hurt to add flash to the starting page as well.

Nice idea, but it needs more info. How about the country of origin? Cut of steak? Marination description? Packing ? I would definately would like to see physical stores in local supermarkets !

I checked out the site last night, while the idea is extremely interesting, i think it is let down by the actual products.

For instance, the hotdog section, all the products are khazan products, which you can find in your local co-op, you’re not really offering the customer anything special. If i wanted khazan hotdogs i can go almost anywhere and find them, and i won’t have to wait for 2 days.

And i want to add my name to others that wanted more detailed descriptions, for instance the condiments section just says ketchup or mustard or mayo, but it does not specify the brand, which can be a problem for some people (me) cause i only like heinz ketchup.

One more thing,

I found a couple of spelling mistakes.

In the beverages section, you have mountain due, its actually mountain dew.

There was one more that i saw yesterday, but i can’t seem to find it, maybe you guys corrected it.

Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Needs alot of work i think its a bit over priced i mean the salads are aorund 7 =/ dont know if this will work out or not

Well now that I am a full time blogger on here now, I must say that Q8BBQ.com needs alil help! For me being an American, and prefers to make a great steak myself, they need to offer dry rub. Don’t get me wrong, if they marinate it right and not like these chain restaurants then thats great. But us steak connaisseur’s like myself, we enjoy a great dry rub! They are surprisingly better than marinated! Trust me! The right spices make a great steak. Even just the combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, alil meat tendorizer, and supreme seasoning; you’ll be surprised at how much better it tastes after cooking it over a charcoal grill, not gas grill! It’s a plus that I have restaurant experience also!

Great idea wallah.
would be nice if they could cook the food as well as deliver below 20.

I must say I’m now craving the hummuos dip!

Keep up the good work o Allah yewafgik.

Reason they need 48hrs is because most of their meat cuts needs to be marinated for at least overnight and that their ingredients are all fresh. As for the detailed description they will work on it hopefully 😉

loved their idea and i gave them a call yesterday

the concept is all about if you want to invite your friends and family for a barbecue they will provide the row material like steaks and what ever you choose marinated over night, that’s why they can’t deliver in few hours they need 24hrs marination time that’s why you have to order 48hrs, also it comes to you ready in skewers and packed in foil plates,

as for the minimum charge 5kd, you can’t order anything within 5kd range for a barbecue, they can’t arrange a 5kd order, it’s not a restaurant, if you make an order for 4 persons barbecue, it’ll cost you more than 20kd from appetizers to main course and beverages.

also i asked him about the condiments basket, he said that heinz products will cost more than 15kd which isn’t reasonable for them for 10items basket, but he said they will re conceder heinz, but the products in the basket are made in usa.

am gonna try it and let you know guys.

Yawn. Call me back when they’re bbqing pork. This other shit is easy and can be aquired elsewhere, for the most part. Plus, I doubt they can beat Smokehouse’s pulled chicken. Those guys do meat right!
