A new company is bringing Quiznos back to Kuwait and this time they’re planning on opening up 15 branches. I heard this time its going to be the proper deal. [Link]
Thanks desertgirl and Husayn
Update: The company that’s bringing back Quiznos just emailed me to tell me that they will be opening their first branch in December/January in Salmiya Salem Mubarek Street opposite Olympia Mall. The new owners of Quiznos are the same owners of Buffalo’s Cafe.

Fantastic! I’ve always chosen Quiznos over subway, I just hope they pick the right locations this time.
When are we going to get a restaurant that serves Louisiana and southern food? (Gumbo, etc)
Coming back? I didn’t know they were here in the first place

Oh Yeah!
men dahaar eb jeddah 😛
never liked subway!
thats so cool! misakeen subway! they have a competitor now!
finally, a branch that doesn’t actually “toast” its bread, really looking forward for this !
It took the former Kuwaiti franchise owner (Action Group Holdings) 5 years to open 2 Quiznos in Kuwait – and then did very little to advertise them.
It should be interesting to see how fast the new franchise owners (Saudis) will take to open 15.
Hey sarah,
They are not saudi’s! they are the same owners of buffalos cafe from Kuwait.
I’ve finally decided you are obsessed with food Mark.
btw, on average, one quizno sub can have as much as 1000 calories (i.e. +50% of your diet in 1day)
and thats if you get HALF a sandwich!
check this..
Worst Sandwich in America
Quiznos Tuna Melt (large)
2,090 calories
175 g fat (31 g saturated fat, 2.5 g trans fats)
2,190 mg sodium
This sandwich puts tuna’s healthy reputation on the line. A large homemade sandwich would likely provide one-fourth of the calories.
+2000 calories= 1 day worth of food
175g fat= a7a.. (my initial reaction)
+2000 sodium= blood pressure through the roof..and if every kuwaiti eats one of those every day crime rates will rise, birthrates drop, death toll skyrockets.. and standards of living will deteriorate. that being said, obesity will no longer be an issue of concern as every one will look like the michellin man and the only thin looking people will have to battle it out till the death and the sole survivor will then be force fed a quiznos sub through feeding tubes.
and thats why i am against opening a new quiznos store (or 13) in kuwait.
7ameed. i think you might have got your facts from subway :p 85% of food in kuwait is worse than a quiznos sub. its a good sub and you dont have to get a large tuna melt, they have medium and small. its a great concept and not as fattening as you claim.
mc donalds is worse and as i recall they are doing great. Chilies, fridays, KFC, hardees, slider, ruby, applebees, burger king and the list goes on and on.
So if we are going to talk about healthy then wouldn’t those restaurants come up first??? and im sure you have ate in these restaurants! so lets not be haters here :p and enjoy a quiznos sub.
i got me facts from yahoo and mens health.. although i must admit i do fancy subway 🙂
i am against all fast foods in general. back home in kuwait i never eat it, the only reason i do it here though is because i am too lazy to cook everyday- and when i do eat out i avoid the usual suspects (McDonalds, BKing, white castle, Taco Bell, Arby’s- jealous yet- and co)
business wise, yes they are doing great in kuwait and all over the world.. but we all know they do more harm than good.
sure i had a 5 guys burger last week- in my defence though it was my first in months- but i do it out of necessity not out of fancy 🙂
il mohim.. bil 3afya or Bon Apetite!

i get your point 7ameed but i don’t think me and you can stop all the unhealthy food around the world. Its a choice you make if you want to eat there or not no one is forcing you.
Hey as long as you get your exercise in you will be fine 😀
