Just found out Alshaya are bringing the Sprinkles Cupcakes franchise to the region and the first branch will open later this year in Kuwait. Sprinkles are the world’s first cupcake bakery and they’re the ones that started the gourmet cupcake fad. If we’re lucky maybe they’ll set us up with a 24hour Sprinkles Cupcake ATM for those late night cravings. [Link]

It’s sad that restaurants/food here tend to make the most profit, hence attracting more and more franchisees to operate a food franchise.
Honestly, things other than food need to be introduced to Kuwait.
With ZERO nightlife apart from malls, dewayniyas, and shisha cafes, what do you expect? People get back from work, eat their machboos, play some kout while smoking shisha and then go to bed. All this while being COMPLETELY sedentary, very sad.
As if we didn’t have enough cupcake stores competing with one another already.
I can’t wait to try out their cupcake ATM .. been dreaming about it for months!
Seriously? Another food branch? No wonder Kuwait is fat I wish big coorperations would encourage and promote healthier options. Oh well.
