The 45th book fair started today at the Kuwait International Fairground and will continue until November 26th. The fair is located in halls 5, 6, 7 and 7B and the timings are as follows:
Daily: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Friday: 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Theres a couple of places which sells used books. Thers’s Better Books in Salmiya, now they (probably have shifted to Kuwait citY), Bliss and Papers in the City. You will also find used books on Instagram at lotus books, books for cancer and bookish.com. I hope this helps.
Will there be book readings and book launches ?
I wish there is a section for Arabic books translated into English and foreign language books translated into Arabic.

Unfortunately, with the marathon and camel racing, baseball and Thanksgiving, we missed the book fair! Darn! Has anyone found a good place to but travel books (in English). The Lonely Planet books would be great! We’ve found Thailand and that’s about it. We have an ongoing, and sometimes random, need for these books 😃. Thanks!
