Monty Python fans will be disappointed with the list since a lot of their movies are banned. There are also some very strange reasons like “Jane Fonda” was counted as one reason why some movies were banned. I thought that was weird. Here is the link to the full list [PDF]

All of the shows I listed are shown on Orbit-Showtime which is readily available in Lebanon so I don’t know what the hell this list is referring to

Mark, Jane Fonda is used as a reason because she visited Israel and Southern Lebanon with her husband in 1982. Her husband was California Senator Tom Hayden who made pro-Israeli statements during his trip. According to the Leb government, Jane Fonda is guilty by association , lol.

It’s not a big deal. We all enjoyed watching the Soviets being the bad guys, south Americans as drug lords and the Italians as mobsters but when it comes to us being portrayed as bad guys we have a problem? Come on…
As a Lebanese I can tell you that we are portrayed a lot as terrorists and Beirut is used to reflect destruction tons of times in tv shows and movies (this looks like Beirut) and I don’t find any offense in it because it’s just a TV show or a movie.

I respectfully disagree with you on the flag graffiti. It IS offensive, massively. You can’t justify killing your neighbor by showing pictures that other people do kill too.

I am a Lebanese, I censored the cedar tree and I don’t find it offensive.
But, for me to be convinced it’s offensive, I need to get a Kuwaiti flag and censor it as well? And the idea is what? No Kuwaiti will find that offensive? If you guys found what I did to my flag offensive you don’t think there are some Kuwaitis who wouldn’t find it offensive if I did that to the Kuwaiti flag?
If 5 people found what I did offensive does that make what I did offensive? No.
The examples I posted in my previous posts are also not offensive. But just to help you understand what is offensive here are some examples of things not to do:
Burning Flag = Not good
Picture of dog peeing on cedar tree = Not good
Drawing penises all over flag = Not good
Drawing X on Lebanese flag next to a tick on Israeli flag = Not good
Drawing boobs on Lebanese flag = Depends on boobs
Ripping flag up = Not good
Stomping on flag = Not good
Get the point? My post was about censorship in Lebanon and to represent censorship in Lebanon I censored the tree with a marker. That my friends is harmless.

Please read the title people. Then look at the picture .. Aggressive ? Offensive ? How ? After reading the title and looking at the picture ten times, what possible offensive message could be depicted in the above pic ?? For every possible scenario or ‘offensive’ message you may come up with that may be depicted in the pic, it is negated by the title.
