Amoot Alaik by Aziz AlNasrallah

“Amoot Alaik” is the latest single by Kuwaiti musician Aziz AlNasrallah. I posted his previous single before called Tara Aadi which was created by 8-bit sounds generated from a GameBoy. This song is a completely different style and is from his upcoming album “Adawir Nafsi”. Here’s some interesting trivia related to “Amoot Alaik”:

– The idea of the song was conceived in a cafe in Frankfurt International Airport by Aziz and Mishari Hamad after discussing the schizo nature of love/hate relationships.

– During the Emirates Air flight from Frankfurt to Dubai Aziz started jotting down some lyrics and Mishari realized all his equipment was on board and started laying down initial tracks and arranging the lyrics to the music which is why they nicknamed it the “mile high” song.

– Mishari was torn between watching “Prometheus” or working on the song during the flight.

– Amoot Alaik’s arrangement includes a traditional Afro-Kuwaiti beat (Tanboora) which includes goat hooves.

– To compliment the ethnic feel of the beat, a Swiss tuned percussion instrument invented in the year 2000 called a Hang Drum was used.

Rich kids with alot of money and no talent at all. The lyrics are simple and dull. The music is everywhere with no identity. Seriously not one of those negative ppl but that’s just crap. Dont quite ur day job.

You sound exactly like “those negative ppl.” You chose to attack them based on them being “rich kids?” How does that even relate to the music. Don’t “quite” your English lessons either ab7ag. Criticize what’s relevant or expect to be opened up to some yourself.

whats their finances got to do with their music? that comment says more about you. think before you speak, because you could say they aren’t any good or they are amazing but the your comment is kinda sad.

i for 1 don’t like arabic music or love songs etc.. but i like it.

Actually no, they aren’t “rich kids” they are both hardworking individuals who are pursuing their dreams with their skills in a country where working in a bank is all you can do. So don’t get your pants in a bunch because you can’t or don’t want to nurture your talents. psshhht

Saccharine in the best way possible. Your voice and singing are beautiful Aziz and it takes balls to put yourself out there in a place like this. So let the haters hate and you just keep singing darling. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the album.

Gorgeous song! It is nice to see my generation embracing their culture and weaving it into their work. Loved it.

I have no idea who this guy is, but I love what he’s doing. This is really nice to listen to! Keep it up Aziz.

i might like it if i didn’t understand arabic ..!! but this is just awful .. bad lyrics + bad voice .. beat is ok .. this is not even worth posting mark ..

They used a ‘hang’? Were they allowed to carry it on board or was a recording used?
In other news Avicii posted something on his facebook page which would lead one to believe he is gona be coming to Kuwait soon!
