Has anyone read newspapers based in the Salafi stronghold of Tripoli, Lebanon and southern Lebanon of Hezbollah extremists?
Lebanon probably has 10 times more Islamic fundamentalists than Kuwait does and ever will. Many national newspapers written in Tripoli not only censor semi-naked musicians, but also censor ”curse words”.
I sincerely doubt that the government of Kuwait has anything to do with the drawn pants on Miley. Arabtimes has far too many established Sunni Islamist writers rather than the secular/liberals of the government.
I actually do criticize Lebanon A LOT, check out blogbaladi.com

Oh really? National Kuwaiti newspapers like the Al-Qabas didn’t censor Miley Cyrus’ outfit at the VMAs (or draw any pants). Al Qabas is probably Kuwait’s most read newspaper. So isn’t the Al-Qabas, a national newspaper, making progress?
