shop number 4

The trendy shop number 4 which is located in the Shuwaikh industrial area recently launched an online shop (I think it’s recent at least) and it’s not too bad. The site is simple and fast and they have a sale now. I just wish they had a larger Lifestyle section with more stuff. Currently they just have the Wallpaper* City Guides. Here is the [Link]

Overpriced pretenious rubbish most of which has zero style – will go down well in Kuwait – I am sure that if I put a Stella McCartney or Versace label on a 50 Fils bin liner some fool would pay 500 KD for it

Simmy: you could scribble a stick man on a napkin and put a Picasso signature on it and it would also sell for thousands, there is a reason for that.

Can’t say I like the selection much, but the website is a nice break from the usual flash laden unusable ones we get in Kuwait.

Mark: The reason why a Picasso drawing on a napkin would sell for 1000’s is because that would be good investment sure to rise in value over time. However, these mostly unstylish clothes are not expensive because they are an investment – it is because there are people around with more money than sense who are stupid enough to pay for such clothes.

After clicking the men’s section I looked quickly at the selection, then I was like ‘this can’t be the men’s section – I must’ve accidentally clicked on womens’ so I click it again, and wow.

The prices? WOW! Who the hell would shop there? If anyone got me a gift from there I would throw it in the garbage.

Wow: https://shopnumber4.com/men/complex-geometries-grey-long-binder-strap-tank.html

P.S. Why exactly did you post that link? They probably gained 10,000kd just from your blog..
All they need is 20 customers to buy 1 outfit each to make that money, lol.

@ Mark
Go 4 it, it’s on sale!
I did this swift research about the designer. He is just 25 years old!
Anyone interested to do with me some calculation about how much money he is going to make for the next few years!?

Holy Smokes!! Whats up with the prices?? I don’t mind certain pieces, i was like “that’s nice i may be able to make an alteration on that look at the price and WOOHH”! A very specific clientele will appreciate this and i think these looks would be best suited in Europe.

Looks a bit All Saints for those of you who know what All Saints is!

R u guys serious about the price being too high? Have you not shopped at Harvey Nichols or Harrods or Bergdorf Goodman???? hathee il-as3aar now-a-days.
This is not a “high street” shop, its a high end shop, and I LOVE their stuff, and i love how limited their items are.
Plus, all the stuff is timeless, not seasonal.
Lots of collector items too…

Kojak: What do you mean you did a research on the designer? I looked at a couple of the items they were selling and they’re made by different designers. I googled some of the items. I found out that they are still expensive elsewhere, even on eBay. Not as expensive as this site, but comparatively expensive though.

Hell, I don’t buy any of my clothes from here. I decided to give it a show, I bought (my first) a pair of Nikes (on discount!) for 34kd the other day. I looked it up on the internet and found out that it was $45 with internet coupons (13kd).

@Burhan,
This style is called
“عباية امي بعد ما كلاها الذيب”
If u r interested, just take one Abaya to the Farm! 🙂

@NightShift
Ok, I don’t want to make it like a real research rather copy, paste, google this the designer’s name (Rad Hourani)!

@Kojak
I don’t know if you are being sarcastic or not. Hoever, if you are…. Rick Owens, Damir Doma and Rad Hourani are just a few of the designers posted on their website.

Rad Hourani is 28 years old, not 25 as you stated. FYI

Hi guys
I have been reading your comments on shop 4 since yesterday, i honestly need to clear things here I understand your that maybe things are way over priced for you guys but I think that’s because you are not the targeted segment for that shop. You guys are comparing it to clothes of certain brands that’s for mass production. This shop is not for the mass it’s for the selected few who understand why are the prices that high. I honestly advice you to start commenting on Zara,mango and h&m then you will make sense

well i liked their shorts to be honest , rest is trash “men section” , but the idea would really work here in Kuwait as most of the people here would pay with their left kidney to “BE UNIQUE”
