Kuwait the New Bodybuilding Mecca of the World

I’ve been curious for the past couple of years to why Kuwait is so popular with international bodybuilders. I mean I’ve heard of a number of current and previous bodybuilding champions who are currently coaching at some of the gyms in Kuwait and I never understood why. Carter, a British bodybuilder has an interesting theory to why that is the case and I think he makes a good point.

Carter suggests that there are certain PED’s (performance-enhancing drugs) only available locally that are attracting all the big name athletes. It’s an interesting theory and one I could believe being possible along with the fact that we have some great bodybuilding gyms here and the coaches probably get a good salary as well. Check out the video above. [YouTube]

I think HGH is becoming a lot more mainstream worldwide, I mean a lot of the older UFC fighters were taking it legally with a doctors prescription and even Joe Rogan and Dana White are on it again legally and they don’t even hide it.

That doesn’t explain what makes Kuwait so special (at 50C). Its not like the PED’s are locally produced. And even if they were locally produced, they can still be sent by mail disguised as anything else.

Obviously, the reason they come is because of good salaries as instructors, or nice promotional deals, private training etc… Obviously it also helps that there are plenty of great gyms and a lot of body building enthusiasts.

Will I go to the gym, because there is no other physical activity I do. At work I am sitting all day and at home.

I think that main reason is that the youth are just very interested in getting better aesthetics and physique.

Define “better”, 1 out of 10 looks normal, all the others looks like they`re ready to pop if you accidentally touch them. It became quite a trend to look like Hulk, but only on the upper half, my personal belief is because the upper side only is visible while you ride your car on Gulf Road trying to hook up with some girls.

Never skip leg day. But honestly I am doing compound strength training to train all muscles instead of isolating muscles. Also you can never look so buff with normal weight lifting. You need extra stuff to look like cartoon proportions buy I don’t like the Hulk look.

Its incredibly easy to buy steroids in Kuwait. I remember having breakfast at a famous restaurant, and the manager who works there sold a tube of some type of roids to some thin guy who is probably in his early 20s, in a “discreet” way. It’s crazy

HGH isnt dirt cheap, if it was i would be selling it, the 36unit Sweden aka siwaide costs 200kd+ ive seen it up to 360kd, however “ped’s” is cheaper for pharma grade sure but in the us and abroad most people buy ug and its dirt cheap its not an issue and most big names have prescriptions and their insurance pays for it, i just thing they come here because they get paid to do so, kuwait is going through what the us went through in the 1950s, everybody wants to get big and toned, most gyms and stores in kuwait are getting big names like Arnold to show up is by getting them a place to stay a place to train and their pick of whatever supplements from the ingym storeand you can pop by any pharmacy and buy whatever ester of testosterone you want legally, yes all it takes is a private clinic and 30-50kd and you get a paper clearing you to buy, dont have a paper thats fine too, a pharmacy is a business and if they will make money selling you a steroid or ped’s they will without a doubt no one in kuwait is required to show who bought what, if you are kuwaity and have the right connections you can get them paid by the government, anyway most of these body builders dont get as sweet of a deal as they used to, but now kuwait is starting to change that.

You just ask any trainer at any gym, he is probably the person selling you growth. ;DDDDDDDDDDDD , this isnt a joke.

Thats just a load of bull, coming out of a hater. Steroids are MUCH cheaper and easier to get in Europe. O2 gym is the one stop shop that offers advanced one on one training, latest and most effective equipment And of course the support of the bodybuilding community here which motivates them.

To sum it up as to why train in kuwait.
Steroids- They are legal in europe hence the price difference.
Food- it is much cheaper here, a 5 meal plan would cost 1 in europe.
gym- there is no other gym in the world that would complete with o2
trainers- cheaper, more experienced.

Does this guy realize the whole bodybuilding/athletic scene is filled with steroids ALL around the world? There’s a Stephen Colbert video about Rio Olympics that shed some light at how ridiculous the world is when it comes to cheating using steroids etc.. This isn’t an exclusive problem that happens in Kuwait but I’m not saying it isn’t happening here too.

The guy isn’t saying Kuwait is the only country where steroid/HGH use is happening. You misunderstood the whole post, this post isn’t about drugs being using in bodybuilding, thats common knowledge. What the guy is suggesting on the other hand and what I found interesting enough for me to post this is that there are certain drugs available in Kuwait that are not available anywhere else. Like custom created juices which is attracting bodybuilders to come and train here. I think that is fascinating.

I see, that’s interesting. I’m not that informed at these HGHs/steroids fiasco. But it’s quite sad that many would rather cheat and risk their lives just to impress others for a short period of their lives. Thanks for informing me.

Risk their lives? When was the last time you heard of anyone dying? If taken normally there is no risk, look at Arnold, he’s like 80 or something and still alive and kicking, same with a ton of other bodybuilding champions. It’s not really cheating in their sport. Plus a lot of older people take HGH so they could still be atheletic. I’ll probably start taking HGH once I hit 40 or so.

I’ve heard that HGH is legal in Kuwait and could be bought without a prescription in most Pharmacies. Is this true ?
