Carriage is great but they are screwing over the majority of restaurants on their platform! they agree to 30min delivery with certain restaurants while the rest are stuck with an hour +. They are funneling business to specific restaurants while the rest get screwed..
They are not screwing anyone over. They are simply highlighting the restaurants that are going the extra mile to deliver in 30 minutes. This pushes the other restaurants to provide the same service. All for the customer’s benefit.
Restaurants in specific categories that cannot provide such a service where preparation takes longer e.g. bakeries will not be affected as all of them will have roughly the same delivery times so customers will order from them regardless.
They are screwing restaurants over. Many restaurants that are able to prepare meals quickly have requested for the 30 min delivery and Carriage have rejected. Carriage have signed contracts with specific restaurants guaranteeing drivers at the door at all times and delivery within 30 min. Why not guarantee 30 min of ALL the restaurants that can prepare meals quickly??
Maybe carriage doesn’t have enough drivers so they’re starting 30 min delivery with the most popular brands first?
I hope that is the case. But you do understand how that puts other restaurants at a considerable disadvantage right? They are driving sales to those brands because they deliver faster which gives those restaurants an unfair edge over their competitors – competitors that pay for Carriage service.
I’m new to this so wondering whats the difference between Carriage and Talabat? Do they both do the same thing? Anyone?

They are not the same! Carriage deliver food to restaurants that does not deliver and are in fact the fastest.. the food always come hot as it I am eating at the restaurant. (most of the time)
Carriage only signs up to deliver under 30 min for these restaurants due to the volume of orders. They will not deliver under 30 min for a fancy restaurant with limited orders per day.
The box for the discount code didn’t appear to me, so I couldn’t type it in. I guess its buggy? Did anyone else have problems with that?

odd thing is i applied the coupon at 11:04AM and it worked when it shouldn’t have worked since the offer is valid only till 11AM.
