The picture above has been circulating on whatsapp with people thinking it’s real. It’s funny, but obviously its not real. Why? Because the messages on these signs usually read like they were created using google translate, this one uses proper English. Secondly there would at the very least be a grammatical mistake or something misspelled while this sign doesn’t have any faults.

I don’t wonder if it was legit thou, the public speakers of the interior ministry never seize to impress me with their talented messages on mobile.
I still recall a message on my phone at 8 AM saying “Drive slow or fasten seat belt o khelik khosh wa7ed” 😀
I have also been lucky to never have been seized by the Interior Ministry.
I once thought a lucrative job here would be to help business owners translate their signs into English accurately (a meat “showroom”??) but then I realized nobody cares. The sooner one realizes that fact here, the better.
Almost as good as the siren warning translation the other day that warned us all we would be shot just before 10am 😳
