It’s been 12 years

Nearly forgot about this but 12 years ago today, I started 248AM and published my first post. Here’s a line I wrote two years ago but one that still holds true today:

I don’t know how long I will be doing this for, I just know that I really love doing it and I’ll keep doing it as long as you keep coming back here to read what I have to say*. Thank you everyone for being the best readers a blogger could hope for.

*unless I get deported before then

Thanks Mark for being part of our lives , i’ve never seen someone who’s loyal and loves kuwait like you. i’ve been following 248am since 2006 and i just can’t imagine how my life would’ve looked liked without it . Thanks again for everything you did to us and to our society.

Happy 12th birthday 2:48 am!! I am still curious why of all time its 2:48 am?? 🤔🤔🤔 anyhow, thank you Mark!! I have discovered and rediscovered my most loved places and activities in Kuwait coz of you! *eg.Al Shaheed Park and Quout Market

I have been reading your blog since 2008 and I am so addicted to it that regardless of the amount of posts and content I still prefer checking it out before the daily newspaper.

Congratulations, and happy birthday Mark and 248AM. The first post I saw when I opened your blog page for the first time in my life was about a lion on the run that was owned by some big shot. Tried finding it but I couldn’t. I think it was between 2005 and mid 2006.

Happy 248am! Started reading your blog when I started my first job back in 2007 and since then its the first thing I read while having my morning coffee. Keep blogging!

Congratulations on the 12th Anniversary of your blog.
I happened to discover your blog way back in 2007 when I was leaving Kuwait, and wanted to sell some stuff. Its been many years since I left Kuwait, but I still keep coming back to your site to read your blog posts.
Being a history buff I love the old pictures and posts about Kuwait’s history.
I’m not at all tech savvy but have learnt a thing or two from your blog posts about the latest in technology 😉 .

hahaha i have a friend who used to hate me before we ever met because his wife used to keep saying “mark said that..” and it used to annoy the fuck out of him because who the fuck is this Mark she kept talking about all the time.

Congratulations mark.. wow 12 years.. I still remember the first time I hit your blog.. I was looking on Google for stuff for my Jeep that I had just got in from the States and I hit on a link that led me to 248am where you were telling us about the time your Jeep had broken down on the side of the road next to IKEA and you had to get some cheap ass jumper cables…… been hooked ever since 😉

Also my wife Mark, I introduced her to your blog and ever since that time its been Mark said this.. and Mark said that or did you know the new joint that Mark went to ??? I don’t hate you though ;-);-) I don’t get a chance to read the blog everyday sometimes so she keeps me up to date

Anyways ..Keep up the good work brother you are doing nothing but good things..

daaaaamn congratulations! I’m running up to 14 years this year myself. A long ass time. There are times I hate it, times I can never see myself giving it up. Hope you’re well 🙂

I’m not sure if mentioned this before, but I first found out about the blog when I googled “Japanese restaurant Kuwait” to find something for a night out… I then found the whole Benihana issue! 😂 Saw some other posts, liked the blog, began following daily

2011, I know that cuz a few hours ago someone sent me a screenshot of an article about me winning the case and the person was congratulating me. Told them the article was from 2011 and I ended up losing when Benihana appealed.
