DHL Still Delivers!

Looks like courier companies might go back to delivering packages. DHL posted that they will continue to deliver packages during the lockdown and I also heard that Aramex Shop&Ship will also resume service. I have a package coming in with UPS so I’m hoping they’ll continue delivering as well.

I don’t get why it’s onky DHL but not Posta I have like ten packages with them sitting in their warehouse ! They should at least have permits to deliever whatever is sitting in their warehouse

They posted on insta that they won’t be delivering 😂 which is obsurd like it’s tge same concept as dhl or shop n ship so why was their permit refused/ not granted

Just received a message from PostaPlus that 2 of my 8 orders will be delivered today. I will update you when/if I receive them.

I got a message for three of my items today too. Two are out for delivery today and one for the next business day. Keep hope alive!

I really hope I get mine too , I got a msg before the ban saying they will be delivered next working day , nothing yet .

A rep told me a few days ago that it’s taking 3 days from the notification that items are out for delivery to the actual delivery. That’s exactly what I witnessed. So if the message says it’s scheduled for delivery on the next business day, it’s really going to be a few more days before it really is. When it says it is out for delivery today then it’s really coming. HTH.😊

I received 2 messages that my packages were out for delivery today and I have received nothing. Curse you PostaPlus.

I have to apologize for my words, I just received a call at 11 PM that the driver was outside and both my deliveries arrived.

I actually spotted DHL van roaming around my area earlier today and figured they’re still operative.
Meanwhile, I have 3 shipments with PostaPlus since god knows when and they haven’t delivered them yet.
On another note, I started using shipamall.com “agility’s” it took an amazon order 15 days to get from the U.S to my doorstep. I’m also planning to test easy shop by DHL hence a friend of mine recommended it but their prices are through the roof.

easyShop is stupid. they refused to ship my perfumes! and I had to asked them to forward it again to my S&S account. moreover their CS don’t operate during weekends ! So WTH with asking for this high fees then.

Thats great! I have both my bank cards expired, debit, credit and the bank + postaplus say they can’t help me because I’m in Jeleeb. Moreover the bank won’t renew my pre-paid card because I’ve to be physically present there to make a request! Super lockdown services!

can someone recommend which shipping courier is the cheapest? for packages that weights 4kg to 10 kg.

Not in my case.I’ve been expecting 5 packages of delivery from DHL since May 5,6,and 10.But,until now I didn’t received any.

Everyone in the comments seem happy to get their packages.but the fact is, this lockdown really has no use. Since half of the expats doing mennial jobs will be working. These are the same expats who live in crammed up spaces. I.e. 10 people in 1 apartment. Is it safe anymore.

I thought this lockdown was to safeguard everyone. But we still have people out at risk other than the frontline hero’s I.e the medical staff and the government officials.

I am not sure about you’ll but I surely feel that business prevails yet again and dominating the law to its benefit.

Any idea if the local post offices will open any time soon so we can go pick up the packages? The Jabriya one’s been shut for about 8 weeks now. I’ve got a package sitting there.

I’ve got a DHL shipment cleared customs 10 May and “Departed facility” same afternoon … still not with DHL supposedly. And they don’t seem to know when they will deliver it when we call them for an update.

My UPS package supposedly arrives to Kuwait tomorrow. I should call UPS to see if they’re open but I don’t want to find out they’re closed since it would be very disappointing. So will just wait and see what happens lol

Good luck with that. I have a shipment with them as well. They had not cleared it from customs from the 3rd of May to the 9th of May. The updates also seem to have stopped as they emailed me on the 9th saying my shipment arrived and was available for pickup on Sunday. Unfortunately I couldn’t spare the time Sunday morning.

I just emailed them back (the only way to actually get someone to reply to you as they don’t answer their phones) asking if it’s possible to schedule a delivery. Let’s hope they can.

That was actually a quick response from their end.

“Dear Customer,

Subject pkg is in our facility.

We have a lockdown in Kuwait till the 30th of this month.

Our offices are closed currently and we will resume as soon as govt. allows us to conduct delivery.

We will update you once resume accordingly.”

Honestly, I’m just glad the packages are out of the airport. I can only imagine the situation with all the backlog in customs once things start clearing up.

Any update on your packages? Mine arrived in Kuwait yesterday, I want to know how long of a wait to expect.

Mark I’ve been waiting for an excuse to post this without disturbing you by email. can you PLEASE do something to investigate / shame Aramex? The way they’ve treated me and other customers over the last few weeks and we’ve all been having the same issues.

We’ve paid on their website but they’re denying it and refusing to deliver the parcel (They’ve been holding my 50th birthday present for seven weeks – even though they’ve admitted by email I’ve paid they still won’t give it to me). They’re using outsourced drivers with limited English who are downright rude – I was called a liar by one who could suddenly speak English after pretending he couldn’t through the whole conversation.

I’m not the only one and we all have the same issues. I feel so powerless. They won’t talk to us by email, phone or anything. If we publicly shame them on social media they just repeat the same stock phrases.

Something needs to be done and maybe you could be the one to maybe make people realise! I have five parcels stuck in the system and three more where I gave up and paid twice just to get them (and they refuse to refund) and it’s got to the stage where I’m too frightened to order any more. There’s been stuff I’ve wanted to buy and I’ve actually not bought ’cause I didn’t think I’d ever see them 🙁

I suggest you speak with the consumer protection department on their hotline 135. You may have to ask someone who can speak Arabic to contact them on your behalf.

In my case I’ve gotten around 10+ packages from Aramex the past month with the last one being the day before the lockdown. No issues with them. I did pay for one item online and thought I had paid for it fully but turned out there was an issue with the site and only had paid the customs fee. They are using outsourced drivers to drive and deliver all the packages, I had one day where I got 3 packages delivered by 3 different people. They clearly are having logistics issues and my guess is because a lot of their staff might be locked down in Jleeb or Mahboula.

Just be patient.

Did you read my post? Seven weeks they’ve been holding my parcel! That means it’s been in the system over three months. They insisted I hadn’t paid and they called me a liar to my face. Six weeks I went through the process multiple times to try and prove I had paid (even their own system told me I had paid and wouldn’t take any more money). I had FIVE promised callbacks from managers that didn’t happen. I emailed their support line and got ignored.

A week ago, they finally admitted that I had paid. No apology. Nothing. It was a one line email – please be advised that you paid for this item online. Nothing on the three parcels that I paid for twice because I was desperate for them. No refund, no acknowledgement,

And now, despite the fact they’ve emailed me and told me I’ve paid, they are STILL holding my parcel hostage,

And you tell me to have patience?

I’ve had an issue with the SnS payment system as well, where they added an extra zero to the total payment. It ended up being calculated as $300 instead of $30; and I have automatic payment set up and the money was paid to them before I found the error.

After chasing them for a while, I decided not to waste my time with them and simply disputed the charge with AMEX (US based), and that was actually easier than chasing Aramex. Got the full refund from AMEX. At some point during the process they emailed me and promised a refund, but that never happened. I’m glad I have AMEX set up on the auto-pay.

Granted, I’ve received hundreds of packages from them without any issues, but if you end up having an issue, they seem quite incompetent, especially the first level CSRs. I ALWAYS have to ask for a manager or repeat the question because the first response is ALWAYS a canned/generic response that barely addresses the query itself. Could be it’s just bots responding (or might as well be).

I hope Aramex will resume delivery too.

Regarding the above comment, I never pay for the packages before the courier comes. Call it paranoia but I suspect I’d never see my stuff if I paid in advance.

I wasn’t able to pay Duties and Taxes Of DHL online.. I think something wrong with my debit card.. any idea if DHL still will deliver it.. can I pay the duties upon delivery of my shipment? CoD? Thanks

Was just told Aramex are still unable to continue deliveries until they get the necessary approvals. But the customer service rep told me it’s only a matter of days.

Don’t understand why people think MYBOX is cheaper when ordering multiple packages. MyUS is much cheaper when you order heavier and combine multiple packages. Try it guys, they give 20% for visa users

I don’t agree with you. I faced same inaccuracies with MYBOX also. I used to order with MYBOX but later realized MyUS combines and charges all the items as one consolidated single package free of any additional charge there by becomes cheaper than MYBOX . MyUS is faster too, I usually gets my delivery in 4-5 days with fedex priority. MYBOX will charge you per box if u wanna combine

Well I shared actual data that proves otherwise so if you don’t want to believe it don’t, up to you what you do with your money.

Not sure what MYBOX is, but so far from all the forwarding mailboxes I used, MyUS is by far the most expensive — by a huge margin.
