Registered for the Vaccine in December and Still not Vaccinated?

A lot of people who registered in December have been leaving comments that they still haven’t gotten their vaccine appointment. One reader just left the comment below that might be helpful and worth giving a shot:

All expats that I know who registered in December did not get vaccinated. I think there is a problem with the December data.

151 will not help you, go to the counter in Mishrif and tell them that you registered in December and still did not get vaccinated. They will redo your registration and with in 72 hours you will get an SMS.

If you try this and it works, let us know!

Does that work if I updated my information recently?
I registered back in December and didn’t receive anything and was told its better to do an update.
Still nothing.
Should I go an inquire?

I even heard it might work if you change your status to frontliner, but I don’t think is a great idea to cheat.

registered as a teacher, as I am, and never had to do anything other than flash my appt. code on my phone. I don’t understand the backlog, if you believe the numbers they are sharing about how many they have vaccinated vs how many registered, seems like everyone should have gotten a call.

Updated my info months ago and did it again weeks ago and still waiting, ill try to go to mishrif and tell them

Did you get any confirmation SMS / message post registration? I have registered last month and did not get any confirmation.

I also had the same issue, got my message 5 minutes after I updated my info, deleted my passport number then retyped it.

I had called 151 yesterday but got tired of waiting so hung up, later in the noon they called me and advised me to go to Mishref and mention this at the counter so that this can be sorted, will be doing that soon, if any changes will update here

I registered Jan 12. Still no text. I went to Mishref. Unfortunately, I chose the day last Wednesday when there were thousands of vaccinations. I had to wait in long line(potentially safety hazard). Got to the counter and they told me wait 2 more weeks. No one reregisterefed me. I was pissed!

Just went to Mishref and the staff here were very helpful, they made me run to 3 different counters, plus I took the initiative to approach another 2 counters to get the standard reply that they can’t do anything and I need to wait till I get the message from the ministry, so I guess either I’ll get vaccinated before I get infected or before I die or hopefully before this year ends… 🙄🤔🙄🤔

Should this not come from an official channel if there is indeed a data issue?

I have been to the vaccination site and we were advised to go to the I.T desk where our information was looked at then put on a list. People very helpful so I believe there is an issue and hopefully we will get a message soon

I went to the IT counter as well. I told them I just wanted to confirm that I was actually registered in the system. They asked for my civil ID and indeed I was registered. So the only thing we can do is keep waiting.

After reading this post, I immediately went to Mishref vaccination centre to get my registration checked. They siad that they are planning to send appointments to a large number of people who haven’t received the appointments yet right after eid. So, I’m hopeful!

Myself and my wife have also registered in December and are still waiting. We went to Mishref few days ago and told to the person at the info. They checked and confirmed that we are registered but that they follow strictly the age and now is the turn of people from 50 to 55 and I am 48. I even have heart condition and they said only that I will be one of the first of my age. Actually there were a lot of younger people there, a lot!!!

My 16 year old daughter was vaccinated but not myself with asthma. I registered in December and she registered in January.

Are you expat and your daughter kuwaiti ? My husband ( kuwaiti and younger) and I ( expat) registered at the same time , he got vaccinated months ago … I’m still waiting…

If you’re a stay-in-home mom you have less priority than students. Me and my brothers got vaccinated since we’re students but our mom hasn’t since she’s a stay-in-home mom. Especially since they want to reopen schools soon, so that might be the reason

I see. But it still seems counterintuitive to have someone who is higher risk (me) and lives with frontliners (spouse and kid) who can still shed the virus remain unprotected. They really should do the households as the Fear in the west was that school kids would bring the virus home to their vulnerable relatives. I guess they are doing their best but I am starting to get really concerned as time approaches and things open up.

I went mishref immediately after this post. And they said that “you registered in december and there is no way you can re registered and if you do then we will have to wait till end of this month.” I asked them “people who registered after me got the vaccine” to which they replied “waasta”. And they also informed they are going to open vaccine centers in each area and later don’t have to visit mishref.

This is puzzling indeed!
I registered myself and my wife early December.

Last month my wife’s HR department asked her why she had not registered. She told them that she had registered. They said they would re-register for her. She got the appointment SMS within 72 hours.
No luck for me so far.

They have some precedence algorithm (frontliners, doctors, nurses, aged, teachers, students, mall workers etc.)

Priority is to get the educational institutes & malls fully functional as early as possible.
Anyways we need to be thankful that they are doing their best.

Rest is destiny!

hi mark…
many of my friends they vaccinated by wasta, but they got only card, they dont even register.

This is big question to Kuwait government, that how people get vaccinated without any appointment.

i reg myself on december and still waiting ……

hope for best

Just to confirm, I have not been vaccinated as yet despite having already registered in late December with my husband. I have since refreshed twice. I am a forty year old female, currently not working and very willing to be vaccinated. I have two primary aged kids and a husband in education who has already been vaccinated.

I am an expat working in the oil sector. Most of expats in the office haven’t had their first vaccination yet.

I registered in December, no message received yet, I’m 33 expat.
I also registered for my sister who has some chronic diseases 3 months ago , no message received yet. It’s weird how healthy people without any medical conditions are being vaccinated before the ones with chronic diseases.

hi,

I had registered, in the month december and still not yet vaccinated so upseting ,
specially with serious health conditions , but there was no preference given to me though i am on immuno supressive medicines transplanted, and also with high blood pressure,

i dont understand how do they do the quota and give preferences to healthy people.

More than 3 weeks since this post, just enquiring if anyone who registered in December successfully got the appointment?

All I know is that the Ask Me Counter re-input the details of those who registered in December in a Google Form, marking them as “Registered in December”.

But now whether or not that helps – no clue.

😔

I really don’t understand the strategy of the government in giving vaccine upto april it was going ok with age and chronic disease prioritizing but after the lockdown lifted it all went like bakala…ppl with waasta or ppl whose companies has waasta are vaccinated.

Really don’t understand that who needs vaccine more a healthy young guy or a 45+ who has blood pressire diabetes.

My wife has type 1 diabetes and almost i ran to all vaccine centers but my plea went in vain. All they say we don’t know wait for appointment. In malls i know they give to ppl who even didn’t registered and we registered in dec. 2020 but still waiting….hope we get before our deaths???….

I registered back in December with my wife and we are still waiting for our appointment.
I did update my registration 2 or 3 times, but still no appointment

My parents (<65 years old) and I registered in December and they got their jab in March while I’m still waiting

I registered back in December and I’ve got asthma and I’m obese and I still haven’t received an SMS

I am in education sector I registered two months back but haven’t received any update hopefully it will b sorted out soon

Hi
I and my wife are 40+ and got registered in January and we are no different then December registration…still waiting.
modified the application couple of time but of no use.
company collected the data to re-register but of no use.
I am Asthmatic but have no priority.

I registered for me and my son back in April 2021 – myself under “Others” category and my son under “Ministry of Education”, but no sms from MOH as yet. My husband was lucky as he got his first jab at his co. and second jab last Friday in Mishref, but we are waiting. I believe there is no proper system in jabbing people out here and now I get to hear of wastas too. Gosh! Just praying and hoping for the best.

Hello All.

I too had already registered in December of last year. In fact, I was one of the early ones to do so. After reading this blog post I went to Mishref last Tuesday and made my way to the information counter. I explained the situation to the lady at the desk. She advised that indeed there is a problem with the December registration and that I would need to cancel my registration and re-register again. She asked for my Civil ID, took a picture of it, and sent it to someone!!! Afterward, she said I should wait a couple of days and re-register again.

Two days went by, and nothing happened. So, I went back on Saturday to the same information counter, and a different lady asked for my Civil ID and registered me on her mobile. She said I should go home and wait for my turn.

I went again this morning and presented my case yet again to a different lady at the counter! I was informed that there was a problem with the December registration, but it is now resolved, and I should wait! I explained to her that I have been waiting for 7 months and there must be a problem still with the registration. She offered to cancel my registration, asked for my Civil ID, took a picture of it, and sent it to a “Doctor”. She said I should try to register tomorrow. However, I checked my registration as soon as I reached my office, and lo and behold my registration was canceled and I was able to re-register again!!! Hooray!!!!

So now I wait, and hopefully, my turn will come up soon.

PS: Today I also made my way to the IT desk, and they were confused that I was one of the first ones to register, and yet my turn had not come up. They confirmed that there must be a problem, but only the information desk can assist me. So, if you are in the same boat that I was in, I would highly recommend you check back with them.

Hi, is the IT Desk near the information desk in Hall 6? I had been there on last Saturday and it appears the whole place is now shut on Fridays and Saturdays. They asked me to come on weekdays between 8am and 3pm.

The IT desk is right behind the information counter, which sits in the middle between Hall 5 and Hall 6. I’ve been there on a Saturday and they were operational. Mind you all they can do is check your registration! They can’t book, speed up or cancel registrations. For that, you would still need to talk to someone at the information counter, and I suspect all they can do for you is to ask you to wait!

If you do manage to cancel your registration and re-register again, expect about a month before getting a message. For me, it was about 3 weeks before I received mine. On the positive side, people I know who were also registered back in December and were unsuccessful in canceling their registration as I did, received their vaccination appointments before I received mine! So go figure!

Hope that helps.

Hi,

I am 38 years old male and I have registered to MOH portal for Covid-19 vaccine in late December 2020 but till today not a single shot, no appointment so far.

Is there anyone else having the similar issue or solution?

Kindly advise. Thanks
