Happy Meal Project

NYC artist Sally Davies took a Happy Meal, put it on her living room table and decided to take a picture of it over a period of time. The shot above is the Happy Meal after leaving it out for 137 days. [Link]

That bun is basically a piece of starch, no fiber, no nutrients.

Those fries were probably dehydrated and replaced with frying oil (probably hydrogenated) instead. So there’s no water, no nutrients, basically oil and starch too.

That patty, I don’t even know what part of a cow it’s made of, so it’s open for debate.

Now after all that, what on earth would live and grow on those 3 stuff?

But the thing is., why would I ever keep a burger for 137 days? by the time we eat it and it gets out of your system that won’t take more than A WEEK. so even if its unhealthy, its getting out at the end of the day. šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚

@af It has gone bad, the reason why it didn’t rot as much as it should is because of the high fat levels (not because of preservative chemicals) which gives less space for mold to grow.

Regardless, I’ve seen this done time and time again, used to be people did original tests and posted the results on the internet, now everyone’s just copying the previous person.

This really goes on and shows that there is something suspicious with macdonalds.. I’ve seen a comparison between Mac’s fries before compared to a normal one.. while the normal one turned BLACK, Mac’s fries was still looking fresh!

here is another thing one can check out:

let the McFries cool for a bit….like an hour. Then, microwave them in an effort to re-heat them.
You’ll end up with edible erasers that look and smell like fries!

you have to give them credit for creating a material that can last forever! Diamonds baby..

I bet you it smells like shit. i remember having to leave a meal in my room for an hour or so. when i came back, it was as if there was a dead rat hidden in the A/C.

(for those who know how that smells, high five!)

I really feel sorry for the folks who don’t understand what’s wrong with leaving food for over 4 months and nothing happening to it.

Thats BS for me from personal experience one of my kids left 2 3 pices of the fries in my car, i saw that after like 2 weeks later, it totally turned into greenish, that photographer must be living in Siberia.

Mcing all day long for me :p

Whatever happened in that place stays at that place do a test in Kuwait then talk to me baby.

Plus I love the people here arguing against this stuff like they need a reason to know fast food is extremely unhealthy for you.

No wonder we are one of the most obese countries worldwide.

I found the fries between the seats i clean my car when i have a time there`s no period but yeah why not sometimes i reach one month not cleaned from the inside, yes my car is dirtier than a table so what now ?

now that basically stupid, and a waste of time..there is something called decomposing bacteria..and that would happen to any food u put for over 10 days..

Many people don’t understand what’s going on. The healthiest food you can ever make in your home, if kept for 4-5 days, will most definitely rot and smell bad. The bacteria on air should act on the organic stuff and de-compose it. That’s natural food. Now, god knows what McDonald is doing to keep their patty looking that fresh, not for a week, but for 145 DAYS!! So if you are probably thinking, ohmigosh! future is here!!……Its nothing good to look forward to.
When I showed my smaller brother(who is in 4th grade)the picture and explained that it was 145 days old. It amazed him, in fact he wanted to get a happy meal right away! He thought it was cool that a burger could look ‘that’ fresh after 145 days. But he was also wondering why someone would not gobble up their burger as soon as they got it and keep it for so long. The OBVIOUS fact that he was ignoring that it is un-natural for food to look so good after a long period of time and that’s what the people conducting the experiment were trying to convey. But I can’t blame him for ignoring that, as he is a small boy and that’s the difference between him and me.
So if you don’t get the point behind this experiment or if you think this(the magical burger) is ‘cool’,to be frank, there is no difference between my 9 year old brother and you.

In the end, my brother, unable to absorb my reasoning got his Happy Meal anyway. I remain ever so disgusted….

I left broccoli overnight & it smelled like pure death the next morning. This kiddie meal’s been going strong for days. Holy cow!

the fries i’ve seen before there’s a youtube video on it. the bun i’m a little surprised by since the video experiment had burgers too and they all went bad after a week however they where not plain.
the question i’m curious about is the burger patty itself. they claim they are 100% pure beef so is it just beef that is cooked that doesnt’ go moldy? or does mcdonalds actually put something into the burger patty?

the fries are a simple reason they add a chemical called TBHQ which is also used in Varnish. this is why the fries last forever šŸ˜› mmm varnish. not surprised if they add it to their buns as well but the burgers ?
