Tesco products now available at SaveCo

tesco

Back in July I posted that according to one of my sources, SaveCo supermarket would be getting Tesco products. Turns out my source was correct since yesterday while checking out the British Ambassadors instagram account, I spotted the photo above of SaveCo with an ad mentioning they now carry Tesco products.

I’m not interested in any Tesco products but if you are now you know where to get them from.

Not interested at all. During my studies in UK whenever I go shopping at Tesco, their products are the first I skip! Cheap and suck big time. Pretty sure they are overpriced here for just being “Tesco”.

Probably you were studying 10-15 years ago i agree Tesco products were proper cheap and not all that…..but everything changed since they are #1 by a mile in the UK and there products are insanely amazing mainly the one’s in the FINEST section.

Some things are best when they are found where they should be. Why do we strive to bring every thing from outside and making the simple want a necessity now.

Asda should open in Kuwait, it will be extremely successful because most Kuwaiti students in the UK prefer Asda from what I’ve seen

I currently study here in England and I can assure you no one goes to ASDA. I’m not being rude or arrogant but you need to be quite cheap and broke to go to ASDA. You’ve seen wrong. The grocery shops in England are: Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Morrison’s, Lidl, Aldi, ASDA. Everyone I know goes to the first three. Waitrose is a luxury. But I can assure you no one goes to ASDA. It’s like buying your groceries from a baqala in Khaitan.

Khalid totally agree…..Next Time you are in Tesco’s go and try the Roast Beef Sandwich with horseradish sauce it just As Good As It Gets

I’ve had that, wonderful. I wish the co-ops back home have the same selections as Tesco. Instead of the standard turkey and cheese or cheese and tomato sandwiches for 500 fils.

Supermarket chains are the stupidest things to bring over as a franchise imo. Do you think if you bring Asda or Walmart or Tesco they’re gonna carry the exact same goods? No, there are local suppliers they have to deal with and they’ll end up being really similar to the existing options.

I went there and bravely barraged through that horrendous parking lot looking for eggnog. I was hoping they would bring Tesco eggnog or at least Borden’s eggnog. This store is very clean with a very pleasant staff and surely it is a source to go to for special product lines, but there biggest hurdle is that filthy parking lot. I say they break it up and give Save-co there own section which they would have to police. I think it is about time that Kuwait realize that they have a goodwill obligation towards the exterior of their businesses. I think that if this store was in south surra or another cleaner area in Kuwait, it would do better. I still would go there for special products, but it is a hassle.
