I honestly have no clue who Russ is, but a friend told me he’s pretty popular so figured this was newsworthy. Based on some tweets he posted a while ago, Russ was supposed to come and perform in Kuwait but then found out the promoter was planning on selling the tickets for a ridiculous price, so he backed out.
The prices for the tickets were going to be as follows:
VIP – KD250
Gold – KD200
Silver – KD150
Bronze – KD100
Normal – KD50
The prices seem similar to Sting but looking at the seating chart of this event, it didn’t look like it was going to be held at a proper theater. In fact, I think it was going to be held in a large tent or hall with no elevated seating which means anything behind silver would have been terrible seating. According to Russ, he’s still willing to come to Kuwait, but only if the promoter decides to reduce the ticket prices. We’ll see how this plays out.

Actually, the Russ concert was going to be at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (not tent or hall).
a ballroom is basically a hall…
Wicked
Seriously though, who is this guy?
A very talented musician. You probably never heard of him because he is independent. He writes, produces, mixes, masters, engineers and sings his own songs. Something rare nowadays.
….well…imagine coming and you find just a couple of people…
Solid artist. His first album is great. Glad to see a performer that really cares about his fans. I would sign up for a show in Q8 but not at those prices. SMH….
Went to his concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado last September. Tickets were $50 for 10,000 people. Talk about a rip off at 50KD for tons of fans that cant afford the price </3 My 15 y/o brother loves his music.
All shows are overpriced in Kuwait lately, even that stupid circus they’re doing in Entertainment City.
Not all. Most AlShaheed concerts are free at 20KD tops.
I thought the entertainment city was being rebuilt and renewed. or is it just a circus ground now?
Have no idea who the hell is that guy, but since Mark don’t know him either then I’d say this whole thing is nothing.
well i’m also not a millennial so just because i haven’t heard of him doesn’t mean he doesn’t exist
Everyone born in the 1980s and 1990s are millennials Mark. =)
Yeah but I was born in the 70s
omg gramps in the building lool
*high five* and nod to the best era.
I don’t know that artist, but this shows how greedy many business people here in Kuwait. I’m glad he withdrawed to protest this behaviour.
Even at half the price I think it’s a bit too much
I have never heard of him (I don’t listen to his type of music generally), but I respect that he is standing his ground about the over pricing of tickets.
he’s only the best rapper of all time lol, I love him & his music & was sooo happy to hear the news I j really hope I works out id pay anything to go to one of his concertss
Best of all time? Come on woman, even on a subjective level your statement is invalid.
Been to his concert in Australia that was worth less than 20ld. It was so worth it and I was standing literally less than 0.2 m away from him. Front row babyyyy
