Anyone in Kuwait Can Now Get a Saudi Visa

A few days ago Saudi Arabia announced that any GCC resident can now apply for a tourism eVisa. Previously you could only apply for an eVisa if you were from specific countries, while everyone else had to go through a more complicated process that included getting bank statements and visiting the embassy.

With the new announcement, there are still some requirements like your passport being valid for 6+ months, your residency valid for 3+ months and your occupation should be listed as eligible, but these are just minor things.

Once you get your visa online, you can choose to fly to Saudi or just drive there. Al Khobar and Bahrain are around 3-4 hours after crossing the border while Riyadh is around 5. If you missed my guide to driving to Saudi check it here, or apply for a Saudi visa by going to visitsaudi.com/visa

Thanks for the clarification since flying to Saudi cities would lead you to European cities as well on above flying times

Hi would anyone know if we need to fulfill both conditions below or just one is alright:

US, UK or Schengen visa must be valid and had been used at least once and has an entry stamp from the issuing country.
US, UK or Schengen visa must be either business or tourist visa.

Thanks

this place is moving leaps and bounds. the pace of change happening in Saudi is striking! It wont be long before people from Kuwait drive down to Saudi for tourism and concerts..

Must be too early in the morning. People are asking super dumb questions, or maybe they think this post is a hoax.

So, I just went to the Evisa page and Indians are not listed on it. Please visit the nearest embassy.

Ok.

Is driving to Saudi specifically mentioned somewhere? I tried searching for it but haven’t read anywhere where it specifically says you can drive to Saudi. (it doesn’t say you can’t either, so not sure what logic to apply here)

It does say on their website that one can perform Umrah outside of the Hajj season, which I guess many people will also be interested in.

That’s because a visa is a visa, doesn’t matter which border you come in from it’s just 1 kind of entry visa. So you can drive there, fly in there or arrive on a cruise ship.

I really pity Mark… first he has to come up with relatable and relevant posts that include all links and history. Then he receives a ton of absurd and stupid questions, answers of which are right in front, or take less than a minute to find if previous posts are read.

🥴🥊

Dumb questions aside, some people are acting like Mark is responsible for issuing Saudi visas or that he’s the Saudi site’s admin.

Ya Baba, he’s simply relating the news with useful links. That’s all!

It’s not his job to workout the diplomatic relations between Saudi and India or fix usability issues of their website.

Sheesh! How dense can you be?

Mark you’ve travelled on your canadian passport may be. GCC evisa for residents -> country of citizenship -> india / pakistan not elisted. people are confused with the word GCC residents & not being enlisted. Friend of mine applied somehow he end up getting 1 year tourist visa with multiple entries. if you receive any updates for above mentioned nationalities, kindly share in future. thanks

I have just applied for the visa, total cost is USD 115. very easy process… got the visa in real time. got 1 year multiple entry visa for staying upto 90 days. available for all gcc residents regardless of there nationality.

but this visa is only available for working people with good designation and family members (non working and kids) are YET not eligible to apply.

I did the application as required with all supporting documents and correct professional category and paid the fees. But my application is gone 5 days now and says sent to embassy. Any ideas of how i can resolve this

Oh.. I am sorry for you. But I applied for while family and recieved visas by email same time I paid for the final payment. Total approx KD 34 for each including insurance. Super easy process. No need to choose profession if you are a GCC resident. Appreciate suadi team. What an easy way to get a 1 year multiple entry visa.

Mark, thank you for sharing the evisa procedure. We applied and got it! Excited to visit Saudi. Anyone else planning to drive to Saudi next month? We could go in convoy.
