I knew we had at least one automated parking facility in Kuwait (at The Palms) but I didn’t know we also had the largest one in the world. The parking lot of Al-Jahra Court Complex is fully automated and provides 2,314 parking spaces.
The automated parking facility provides 3 times as many car parking spaces as it would in a regular car park of the same volume – and only takes around 177 seconds for car retrieval (source). If you want to see how it works watch the short video on top. Pretty random tidbit for you guys today.

this should be built everywhere… specially in downtown where parking is usually a mess !
The parking lot of Al-Reqs’i Court Complex is fully automated also. it was opened few years ago.
They should have added a car wash option.

When our roads are crap, our education system is failing, the medical field is abysmal and the job market is so scarce.
Bravo Bravo Kuwait for giving us the largest Automated parking facility in the world. I can sleep better knowing that if I ever have to go to the Jahra court my car will park itself. I am beside myself and gasping with enthusiasm! If I’m not mistaking we also have one of the largest and most expensive bridges in the world that leads to the middle of nowhere right? I’m so proud!
Look out Dubai and Qatar! You have got some competition in the gulf as Kuwait is “clearly” paving the way to becoming the pinnacle of modern construction archetype.
I can’t help but think what is next for our oil rich country? Fastest Elevator? Biggest Roundabout that circles the whole country? Or maybe even the longest moving walkway in the world stretching from one end of the Avenues to the other! Oh I better stop I’m getting so excited just thinking about all these modern marvels that will ease the life of everyone living here.
I had been wondering where all the oil money was going since salaries are so low and all the subsidies that Kuwaitis get like housing and for children have not increased in about 30 years.
But know that I know we have the largest automated parking facility in the world it all makes sense now. I wonder how much this project cost the government “on the books”.

There are immensely HORRIBLE and cruel things happening around the world this very minute. People pulled out of their homes, people murdered, people suffering with wars, pandemics, diseases, injustice, tyrannies, robberies, gangsters…etc..
