Aramex starting online payments

aramex

Aramex Shop&Ship are following in the foot steps of USWS and are going to start accepting online payments. A few people recently got the following email from Aramex:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for using our SHOP&SHIP service. Our aim is to continuously enhance your shopping experience with us. We are about to launch a new feature on www.aramex.com which would allow you to make online payments for your shipping charges. We would like to offer this feature first to our VIP clients in order to eliminate delays in delivery due to cash unavailability. We hope that this new feature will be to your satisfaction, and we welcome your feedback on the service. We want to assure you that our most important objective is to continue providing you with quality transportation services that meet your needs effectively.

Sincerely,
SHOP&SHIP Customer Account Manager

Since the delivery guys started carrying Knet machines online payment isn’t that important anymore. Personally I would like to see their payment system upgraded where as one user mentioned, instead of charging per half KG they should start charging per 100grams. That way their recent price increase will seem more reasonable.

Thanks K!

I agree with charging per 100grams.
Because DHL Now is less expensive! and DHL only takes 3 days!
Aramex should really consider dropping the price.

Are all Aramex clients VIP or are they referring to an actual category of their clients?

i just had this terrible experience with u shop we ship , the parcel was in kuwait since 10 days ago and still they haven’t delivered it ..the problem is even if i call a person tells me its not cleared another tells me it is and the third tells me its out to deliver!!!!….i really dont know who to believe!…i have had it and definetly will not deal with them again!

Does it mean that Aramex will charge the new rates on shipments that will be initiated from July 1st and onward?

ie: if an item got shipped from the NY box on 29 June and reached Kuwait on July 3, will the new rates be effective…

no Explorer…. they will charge on the old rates.. the system will read it that way as they have told me so lets see.

I am using Aramex Shop and Ship from more than an year now…

I think you are right… They have issues like delays in shipment.. and lack of customer support. After reading several times in your blog. I finally made my mind to give UShopWeShop a try….

It has lots of features like ship frequency and Ship Now feature.

But their Rates are up to the limits . Here is my General Comparison of Shipping Rates i m getting using Rate Calculator from both websites.

Aramex Rates USWS
USA to KSA (Jeddah) USA to KSA (Jeddah)
0.5 KG 17$ 0.5 KG 25$
1 KG 26$ 1 KG 40$

For smaller packages its fine .. Real Problem is when you want large packages. Suppose 10 or 20 KG

Aramex Rates USWS
USA to KSA (Jeddah) USA to KSA (Jeddah)
10 KG 195$ 10 KG 310$
20 KG 381$ 20 KG 5020$

I think its cheaper to use USWS in Kuwait .. but in Saudi Arabia… Aramex is more suitable….

I hope in future USWS gives us better rates for Saudi Arabia.
