Inside the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre

Back in May of last year I shared renderings of the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre that’s currently under construction in Kuwait City where the flag square used to be. The cultural centre will include theatres, concert halls, cinemas, conference and exhibition halls, a library archive and a public park.

Previously I had only seen external photos of the building but a reader made me aware that SSH, the architecture and engineering firm working on the project have now published internal shots of the centre.

Another bit of information I also just found out is that the cultural centre will have at least 9 theaters of which 8 are indoor and 1 outdoor. Of the 9 theaters, the larges one will be able to hold 2,000 people while the smallest up to 200.

I haven’t shared all the photos here just a few but if you want to see photos of all the theaters click [Here]

I would love for it to be this nice.

But what would they be performing there? little girls dancing around for national day? slapstick comedy mesrahiyat?

As nice as it looks in these rendering, It would be nicer if there was something of greater artistic value to enjoy in the venue.

Also I hope its maintained well and doesn’t have a tantheefko guy selling concessions from a metal cart.

Fingers crossed…

little girls dancing around on national day? this is the state of the art project where budget has not been spared! its extremely high-end, at the forefront of international standards. with the main theater with its own designated amir entrance and royal seating areas, its a major statement in the kuwati skyline. …the guy selling from a metal cart box, loll that i dont know, i wouldnt be surprised is there is one tho!

it is NOT A PIPE DREAM..

its an Amiri Diwan Project and is going on in FULL SWING on URGENT basis

Amiri Diwan projects is not like a MPW project which gets cancelled or stopped in between

The project has an underground parking enough for 3000 cars, and an additional car park around the whole area on ground level
