Magic Planet at the Avenues

Magic Planet opened up at Avenues and it looks really great. What I think makes the place special is the minimalist design of some of the toys which all seem to take form of white bugs. I took the picture above but a friend of mine (Thanks Ibrahim!) emailed me a ton of pictures which you can check out by clicking on continue below.

Looks very sterile, I thought it should be a bot more colorfull. Kids don’t get minimalism. Kid’s need sensory elements not a hospital with video games.

So what’s the system? How does it work? Is it just like the other play areas in some malls? (You buy a 250 fils card, then you recharge that and use them on rides which cost 250 – 300 fils) Is this run by ‘Future Kids’ too?

I checked this out over the weekend. Its really nice and has a very cool Apple-ish feel to it (the company, not the fruit). Its all very white, shiny and clean.

Basically it works like most of these other indoor game places where you have to recharge a card with credit to play/ride and you accumulate points that can be redeemed for crappy gifts.

The rides are mainly for kids though some of them could be for adults as well. They have one game where you guide that arm to pick stuff from the glass box and they have iPod Shuffles inside (but the damn thing doesn’t have any grip at all).

Although it looks like the best indoor entertainment center in Kuwait, I can not wait till the opening of the entertainment center at the 360 shopping mall. I hear it is going to be the best of its kind in the region.

I did check it out on thursday, but I didnt feel comfortable it was too hospital like (dull). More directed towards kids and not for the older crowd. On the bright side, I have been hearing many things about the new entertainment center in the 360mall. I cant wait till its open I guess they have some of the newst and best technology out there. Im excited cause it caters to all ages.

Loved it! I have drilled into my 6yrs old son over the years that ‘mommy doesn’t do arcades’. Those places are usually dark, loud, and over crowded with flashing games. So it’s not uncommon to hear my son tell other kids “Oh no, mom doesn’t go to game whizzz it gives her a headache :(”. This place was the total opposite! Bright, airy, and spacious. I would only suggest they add benches for parents to sit while they watch their kids wonder around.

Loved it too rimi- Ditto also hate the nasty, loud, migraine-inducing other places. Some awesome rides here for kids. My 6 year old girls loved the place. Even have one ride for adults that’s similar to the zero gravity/g-force thing the air force do for trainees (top tip for this ride go before lunch not after 🙂
There’s a card system 100 fils for card and then a couple of different offers we took KD 10 free KD 5 bonus for downstairs games.
Mr. Magic Planet pleeeze some seats would be nice for waiting parents.

went there on Wednesday (opening day), Thursday (was crazy there – bad experience) and Friday (had to finish the points in my card).
My 8 years old likes it but my 3 yeas old son didn’t.
More staff needed, glass surrounding games are not safe, VIP prices are only for their staff members!!!
And yes, I am also waiting for the entertainment section at the 360 Mall . . Anyone knows when is the opening?

I LOOOOVE MAGIC PLANET THE ROBOT ARM IS AMAZING THE RIDES ARE AMAZING!!!! But everything’s expensive and short timed :/
