The list really shrunk over the years…
yes majority of the old blogs either just died or the authors moved to instagram.
Its easy just to track them on https://www.theblogslounge.com/
theblogslounge hasn’t been updated in years. 90% of the blogs i listed aren’t even there.
It’s 50%, and you missed

To be honest, to me all that matters is 248am.
Never heard of any of the others, and must’ve visited them only when you’ve linked to a post.
Thank you so much for mentioning me !

the site is not computer friendly its very zoomed in
Oh wow, thank you for the mention!
Loved your blog.. clean interface, brilliant pics and no ads.
Hi! 7 years now in Kuwait. I mostly blog in Spanish but also add some words in English. Always offering plans and ideas for expats living in Kuwait.
I would love to be in your list.

It seems that blogging business is really DEAD with zero chances of returning as active as before, most old bloggers shifted there activity to snapchat , twitter and other new social media platform. I really dig old detailed unbiased reviews in most of the old blogs 😛 but man video-blogging is really killing me anyway keep up the good work
ummm the blogging business isn’t dead:
autoblog
jalopnik
engadget
theverge
gizmodo
daring fireball
kotaku
are just the ones i check and they’re more than alive an kicking.
i think what you meant to say was that the kuwait blogging scene is dead not blogging as a platform.
Personal blogs to be more accurate.
i don’t think so since you can’t replace writing with just pictures and videos. personal blogs are still alive but you’d never hear about them because they’re personal blogs.
Its actually a trend, micro blogging. Short, different forms and frequent. Blogging cannot die, even corporate world are moving there. As long as there is content, then there is a platform for it.
Well what’s the point of personal blogs that nobody knows about? As a medium to reach a crowd, that doesn’t work anymore. Or perhaps let’s say it’s not lucrative anymore.
You’re just trolling
No.
add mine too 🙂

thanks
wow nice!
Can you mention what each blog is about so I can see if it is worth following. Like topics.
One sentence summary.
Thanks for the mention!
Oooh oooh pick me pick me! I dunno’ if my blog fits the criteria but it’s a local blog by a local girl granted it’s mostly about bath and body products but I’ve recently been branching out into books, movies, and tv shows, and well… junk food.

You missed us http://www.q8path.com
Not a blog, but great reading for local stuff:
1. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/glowry/info
2. https://indiansinkuwait.com/iikforum/
pinkgirlq8.com (arabic)
crazyyetwise.com (english)
aboflan.com (arabic)
if a blog isn’t about kuwait doesn’t really count though
to be honest out of the list you and maybe 2 others is about kuwait the rest are just based here
All the ones I’ve listed above post kuwait related posts
I am still there trying to survive 🙂

Many thanks Mark. I wondered why I was getting so many hits through your website. Keep up the great work. I blame you for inspiring me to start LWDLIK over 7 years ago. Between us all I like to think we’ve made Kuwait a more welcoming place to live especially for non-Kuwaitis. At least we don’t have so many expats telling us they’re bored and there’s nothing to do in Kuwait anymore.
‘britishgirllostinkuwait.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.’
Just saying.
hmmm it was working when i posted it. oh well
Does anyone know what happened to her?! I liked her posts!
Just curious, the British girl in Kuwait blog is shut down, why did you add her to the list?
She shut it down after I added it
I literally have checked all the blogs you posted and I wanted to tell you that your blog is the best! NO COMPARISON! You have the best content, easy to read, clear, and interesting topics that are useful!
Thanks but you shouldn’t compare them to mine since mine is no longer a personal blog like most of those are.
What happened to these guys!

Thanks for adding me ^_^
Please include kalakuwait.com if possible… It is a Socio Cultural Development organization in Kuwait.
Thank you Mark for adding mine to your list, i just saw it.
Can you please update this list .. I think most of the listed blogs are dead. In fact, I think all dead except this one.
Yup that’s why I don’t have an updated list, would just be in it
Hey, I’m a food blogger from Dubai, just moved here a little over a year ago. I just started blogging about dining out in kuwait, so if you decide to create an updated list I’d love to be on it!
